Yes, re all the above noted problems. Every single time I've tried to make a (common) transaction it becomes an unbearable experience. Someone noted children running it. Could not agree more. It was far better in my experience before they began making changes. Too much time and energy on trying to figure out then abide by insane logical (oxymoron but applicable in my experience).

In Atascadero, no notary on site, not even the manager. Customer service told me I needed to wait a week to have an appt. to open a savings account there so I made one in SLO for the next day. In SLO, I waited 15 minutes in the lobby and then told a savings clerk didn't have time to see me. I ended up meeting with a teller.

I have been a member of SESLOC since I was a teacher at Arroyo Grande High School in the 90s. I left the area to pursue another career but returned a few years ago and am now retired and was happy to know that I still had an account at SESLOC. What the bank lacks in size, it more than compensates with the quality of its first class service. When you enter and want to open an account or ask a question, you will find employee named Joni to your left before you get to the teller windows. Recently, she aptly solved a problem I needed resolved related to a check I had received. She told me that it would take 2 days to clear but she did allow me to receive a partial amount that helped me purchase a car. It's the first bank I have had that responds so highly to its customers needs.

My biggest complaint is the hours. The banks need to go back to pre-Covid hours so people that work can get their banking done. We need the Saturday hours back as well

Newly-installed facial recognition, demanded I remove my hat even though it was tipped up giving full view of my face. Refused to serve me, unless I removed my hat. Very rude, for the first time in my experience, ive been a customer of sesloc for a little over 25 years, now I'm considering leaving. Called district manager multiple times, without being called back, Racheal Nelson at ext#30112/01/21 Sesloc just crashed my CREDIT SCORE report for overuse of their credit card! The card that has been paid off every month to ZERO balance! Do not do business with this company. Now mask's are mandatory! This manager should be fired!!

Crashed my husband and my credit score, by reporting on the 2nd when our pay off date is the 12th. We pay our balance off in full every month! We called and talked to the manager, and we're assaulted for using their credit card each month at 60% of limit! Avoid this business, we are pulling all funds and business. Please join us in protest.

The atascadero branch openly discriminates against the disabled. If you can't wear a mask because of a disability then stay far away from this place. They also presume to know about your disability and when and where it effects you. "I've seen you go through the drive through before," he tells me, so now he's an expert about my disability and when, where and how it effects me. I asked if they could just come outside and help me then... Answer was NO! Because he saw me go through the drive through before? These guys will humiliate and disrespect you for being disabled. Shame on you Atascadero Sesloc. Just wanted to make my loan payment and this is an ongoing problem with this branch. This is at least the 2nd time I've had to deal with this. STAY AWAY!!

They can’t get their own automated loan payment system to work and even after a branch manager said it was just a training issue and she had solved the problem- I keep getting told by collections department that I am behind on my loan. It’s been four months and many hours talking with branch managers and assistant managers and still no resolution to the problem. How is this place still in business? This is how things are today- you get no access to the people in charge so they have no idea how bad their business is run at the customer level. I gues it doesn’t matter any more.

Children running the place told me there was a hold on WIRE TRANSFERS. I had never heard such a thing. Zero score for knowledge. Getting different answers for the same question depending on which rep I talked to. Opened an account here in the Atascadero branch, they did a FULL PULL of my excellent credit and knocked my FICO score down by 30 POINTS. Then, as a reward for my excellent credit, they placed a 9-day hold on my check deposit that was drawn on MY account at another financial institution. When I noticed the check had cleared, three days later, SESLOC withheld funds for an additional six days, over my direct objection. Very much looks like I CHOSE POORLY. I will be opening at the competition down the street once my credit score has RECOVERED, and closing this unreasonable check-hold-time account at this unknowledgeable SESLOC. Nine days hold is EXCESSIVE.

The best! Every time I go there I leave with a smile! Soooooo much better than any other financial institution I've been to! And, to those who want to gripe about taking off their hats... what was the issue? Were you there to bank, or to make a statement about a bad hair day, or what? Take off your hat! You're in a friggin' bank! Doesn't it make sense to you that the security cameras are able to see your face?

Now add snotty cashiers to their repertoire. After giving my account number and password, I'm asked my name. Then Sonja has to stop depositing my checks to explain to me with her condescending manner and eyes glaring why, when I've never had to before, not in over 20 years. I don't appreciate being talked down to, especially by someone who obviously doesn't know Francis is a male name.

It's my favorite bank. I love the staff and how private and kind they are, while sensitive matters, about money, are talked about

I sold a vehicle and went in to cash a cashiers check with their name on it from the buyer. I got the third degree about what the money was from and what I was going to do with MY money (Mind you the buyer wrote what it was for on the cashiers check.) Then they tell me I have to wait for the cash and they’ll call me when it’s in. I waited almost two weeks and I had to call them (and sit on hold for 20 min) to find out the money was in. I go back to cash it the guy asks me again what it was from and what it’s for. Then tells me to take off my mask and hat for the transaction and it needs to be off the entire transaction. He takes another 20 min to go get the cash. When he gets back some other lady comes up behind him and lectures me for not having my mask on. Worst banking experience ever.
