I’ve (unfortunately) had to be in the shop a lot over the last few months but ammco has made the experience so much less stressful for me! They are so kind and supportive, give fair prices and stay in good communication with me. I don’t *like* having to take my car to the shop but if I have to I’m glad it’s with them!

I requested to get a vehicle going that had been sitting for a couple of years They replaced the transmission The axle and the battery but did not think it was necessary to check oil or any other fluids even though they claim full service capabilities. 6 thousand dollars in bills and when I called to ask if they popped the hood to check fluids the raving lunatic manager screamed at me they don't do anything for free and would have to replace everyone's motors if it was truly full service because all motors die eventually. For six grand you would expect to not be yelled when asking about service obviously I would have paid for it like everything else but because his addled brain had forgot a major road worthy service he couldn't see past his tiny manhood to admit he was wrong like many other things in his life I am assuming he has failed once again at pleasing someone. Not surprised by his absolute ignorance but hoping to stop anyone else from having to deal with this real awesome guy. Possibly someone can change his diaper and baby can stop crying.

Writing on behalf of a relative that does not have Yelp account, he suggested steering business toward this AAMCO given the positive experience he had. He has an older Ford F150 that repeatedly succumbed to "limp mode" and two local mechanics were unable to determine the cause. Both suggested this particular AAMCO, to which he eventually took it to. My relative left the vehicle with AAMCO an entire day, they ran diagnostics top to bottom but were also unable to determine the cause either, but were apologetic about it. When he went to settle the bill, there was no charge despite AAMCO putting a mechanic on the task for hours.

My husband and I had some trouble with RV near Auburn, California and had to stop at this station. We were really taken back by the professionalism, kindness and happiness of the entire staff that worked there. My husband and I both noticed as we waited for our RV to be worked on and then tested before they came back to tell us, they think everything is OK. While we sat there, we listened to multiple phone calls that were surprisingly cheery and honest. We both went to the counter to let the staff know how impressed we were with how professionally they did their jobs. It turns out we were speaking with the owner. It all starts at the top. If we didn’t live didn’t live so far away we would take all our vehicles there.Service: Transmission

I took my 2005 C6 Corvette to the Auburn AAMCO for diagnosis of slipping in Drive on a four speed automatic. After a couple of hours I got a call back from them and was told “I also got it to slip in third.” I had driven the car up there in third gear with very little issue, they quoted me about $5500 to take my transmission out, send it to their rebuilder, get it back and reinstall, all told they would have the car for more than a month. I told them I would pick it up as I needed to think about it. When I picked the car up, third gear was no completely gone. I had to make the hour drive to the shop that was going to fix it in a combination of second gear flooring it in drive to get it to shift down.That shop, for $4500, ordered me factory GM rebuilt, updated transmission. Shaved $600 off the freight fee. Discounted the labor and will have it done in about 10 days. I got the last factory rebuilt GM transmission in the U.S dealer network. Aftermarket rebuilt transmissions are readily available online for about $2600 including delivery. I had high expectations of AAMCO. Not met,

Owner and employees were very friendly and courteous. Air conditioner was not working, technician discovered the problem right away, fixed it and I was on my way!

All I can say is if you have any and I mean any type of transmission problem call this place ask for moe. I'm sure I spelled that name wrong but he is an awesome man. Some of the best customer service I have experienced. Customer service to me is number one.
