I was skeptical using a dealer, but after three failed attempts on the marketplace at finding a quality van I decided to give it a shot. I am so glad that I did! Every part of this process was clear, simple, and honest. They even repaired things after I bought the car I hadn’t noticed when paying for it! This is an honest, kind, family owned shop that deserves recognition.

The best experience I've ever had buying a car. The price was excellent as well as the service and knowledge about the car. I will be purchasing all of my future vehicles from them

Total misrepresentation of a car online and over the phone. I spent 2 hours driving out to Auburn based on the pictures and the way the car was described to me. When I got there, there was body damage to the car, and the oil was extremely dirty when we looked on the dipstick. Car was dusty, not washed, as were all the cars on the lot. Basically this car was bought at auction, thrown on the lot as is, and made to look immaculate in the pictures. Kelly Blue Book valued the car from Dealer at around $3400-$3800, they were asking $5,900. I was willing to possibly pay that much if the car was as advertised. I was seriously disappointed. His son was stand offish, and condescending. Was there for all of 5 minutes before realizing I was at a rip off dealership. Would not go to this place, unless you have no credit and are desperate for a car.

I recently purchased a Porsche 911 from California Auto Sales after wanting one for too long. Haidar and his sons at CAS were such a pleasure to work with. Absolutely zero pressure, kind, considerate and patient. We all live and work in a small town. I felt a lot of comfort knowing they'd been in Auburn for a while and maintained good reviews. And in the end my experience exceeded any expectations....and hey, I got a Porsche out of it. So all in all a fantastic experience.

If any of you have been shopping for a vehicle in the past month or year you may know of this new dealership tactic… near as I can tell a dealership will absorb a trade-in some night (to close a deal) then, as soon as the sun comes up, the vehicle’s posted on the web for sale. The trade-in hasn’t been safety inspected, detailed, or SMOG’d yet the dealership’s advertising this vehicle for sale. In most cases I wasn’t allowed to road-test the vehicle, and in some cases, inspect the vehicle. Yet, they want to talk terms and conditions right away… that’s CRAZY!I’m here to tell you that California Auto Sales (in Auburn) isn’t that kind of place. My wife and I had appointments scheduled to view cars one Saturday morning. Mind you, we could only schedule appointments for viewing not test-driving (because I’d been searching for a rare breed of Honda truck). But, we decided to drive up to Auburn to take a look at a unit just posted on the web at California Auto Sales. Without appointment, without notification we showed up and were greeted by Haidar. Immediately he offered up the truck for a road test. The truck was in very fine condition, the shakedown cruise proved it was as drivable as it was clean! Without haggle, without pressure to add warranty work or other up-pricing techniques. Haidar cut the paper work, we went down to the Auburn Golden-1, delivered a down payment check (followed by a residual payment on Monday) and drove the Honda Ridgeline home that Saturday. After visiting several dealerships from the bay area to Sacramento I can only say that dealing with the folks at California Auto Sales was the most pleasant and satisfying experience we had the entire month we’d been searching for a vehicle to buy.

Love this place! They sold me the perfect car and took care of me when I needed it. Haider and dara are the best! If you need a first car and can't find a place to look I would definitely recommend California auto sales! You won't regret anything :)

I LOVE California Auto Sales! I have had amazing experiences with California Auto Sales. I bought my first car from them back in 2020, a pristine 1992 Lexus SC400. The experience was such a positive one that I bought a second car from them in 2022, a 2013 Toyota Yaris LE. Their customer service can absolutely be beat by no one. I have seen first hand how they go above and beyond for their customers, myself included. I trust doing business with them so much that I refer anyone I know looking for a car to them. So far my father has bought a 2020 Toyota Tacoma from them, my mother bought a 2005 Volvo V70 from them, and my aunt bought a 2005 Audi TT from them. California Auto Sales is the model of how buying cars should be. They truly go above and beyond in their services! I will forever do business with California auto sales.

Great experience buying a car here. Everyone was friendly and so helpful throughout. Bought our car a few weeks ago now and couldn't be happier with the vehicle, price we paid and the folks over there. Would definitely recommend.

ATTENTION BEWARE: I had nothing but issues with the customer service I received after purchasing a vehicle from here. I came to California auto sales to look at a Chevy Tahoe. I arrived and test drove the vehicle and inspected it. I noticed one of the tail lights was cracked with moisture in it, and the owner agreed to purchase me a brand new tail light before I signed the papers. A week later I received a call stating the ordered tail light had came in but also that the smog was expired on the vehicle, and that I needed to drive back to the area to have the smog redone and that I could pick up the tail light. When I arrived back to the dealership after completing the smog myself, the owner came out with a used scratched tail light from another Tahoe on the lot and asked if they could have the cracked one back so they could put it on the other Tahoe on the lot. I asked him why I didn’t get a brand new one like he stated before the purchase and his response was that it’s an older vehicle and didn’t see the big deal. I explained the vehicle was $20,000 and if I’m spending that much I would like a new one in which he eventually made happen After going through all of that. I received another call three weeks later that they were unable to register my vehicle with the DMV because the mileage the DMV had on file was not correct. They again asked me to meet them at a DMV location to do a Vin verification And mileage check. I took another day off of work to meet them at a DMV only to find out that I would have to wait in line with them for a few hours. Instead of waiting, they asked me to go to a smog shop who they are friends with to do the Vin verification but the place was 25 miles away. I complained about the process of purchasing this vehicle and they offered me $20 in gas to drive to the smog shop. There was also an issue with the brand new rims they purchased from tire rack on the vehicle. The clear coat started peeling away so I asked them about warranty for the rims. They did reach out to tire rack and told me that tire rack would warrantee the rims, but I needed to buy a new set and would receive a credit when, the damaged rims were returned. I waited over two months sending email after email about the update. I finally had enough and sent the owner an email stating I was dissatisfied with the customer service I received after the purchase was finalized. The owner was uncooperative with an exchange of words over a phone call. I wish I would’ve never done business at this hole in the wall dealership. I would not recommend doing business at California auto sales due to the lack of communication, poor customer service and the treatment I received after signing the papers. If you do purchase a car here do not sign the papers until you have the vehicle checked out at a mechanics shop. The oil filter on the vehicle had the date of 2021, which was two years old. They do not maintenance these vehicles. They buy them from an auction and put them for sale the next day. Be extremely cautious with them.

Haidar and his son were so helpful, fair and kind . They got us a great deal on our recently purchased car . This is a lovely family owned business! I didn't feel pressured or rushed through a process we all know can be stressful at times. I would absolutely recommend supporting this family owned business. After looking at the vehicle we stopped to take a moment and discuss at the local pizza spot that is walking distance from California Auto sales . Also highly recommend Old Town Pizza .

I can't believe a whole year have went by this fast. The Kiani family is amazing. They worked with me, my budget and had a car for me when my aunt Lynn and myself got to their dealership with my uncle Kenny (Travis) on the phone. Thank you all so much. Payments were very reasonable also. And whole year later and I'm still chasing miles. Thank you guys so much!! ♥️
