“My kitty usually sticks to hunting mice around the property, but last night she brought home a baby quail. My sweet aussiedoodle saw the panic when I jumped up and ran over to play interference. Once she dropped the baby bird I got it to safety, and noticed it had a skin tear between the wings. I called the rescue after hours and still got a call back. The sweet lady (Sharon) told me that id have to get it to the auburn wildlife rescue as they have specialists for quail and 3 vet techs on at all times. These are some really special people. I just got a call from them and they plan on updating us on the babies condition and healing journey. I didn't know they existed before this incident. I'm glad they do! Thank you to the good people that care.”
