“We dropped off a Hummingbird that was on the ground between 2 feeders at our home in Meadow Vista. The pour guy was still alive and seemed to be stunned. We called GCWR, Lady was nice, concerned and asked a few questions. She then made a decision for us to drop off. It was on a Sunday and they were open.”
“Dropped on in recently to check out this place out. It was my first time here. Right when I stepped in, the shop was neatly organized and staged like a department store with designer type displays even though it was a thrift shop. I thought that was a nice touch. It was a busy afternoon with lots of shoppers and lively intersections with the staff. The staff greeted me and told me about the sales. I felt welcomed and engaged. Right away, I knew I might be in trouble because there were alot of items that caught my attention. I had to mentally say to myself to not go nuts shopping. The items were all clean and in good condition even the shoes which happened to be 50% off along with the luggage. They had some designer brand shoes... Franco Sarto and Cole Hahn. The prices were great, averaging $10 for the shoes. Overall the pricing was ok but then again I am not a seasoned thriftier. But the items were priced cheaper and in better condition than Snowline Hospice in Placerville which I visited a few months back. A couple of items caught my attention: + Hand crafted wood secretary desk. It was crafted in India. The panels had an exquisitely detailed carvings. All the drawers pulled easily and were functioning. It was priced at $600. + Stainless steel mid century fondue pot.”

“My favorite bookstore!! I visit here every chance I get when I come home to visit my family! Best of the best and you can’t beat their prices. Staff are always super friendly and helpful. I can browse and bookshop to my hearts content without any interruptions. I usually come home with 20 plus books! The best part is that you are helping support a wonderful cause. Highly recommend!!”

“I approached this service with some uncertainty, not knowing exactly what to expect. However, my counselor, Paul, turned out to be incredible. He provided immense support during a challenging period in my life, offering guidance and clarity when I was feeling lost. His flexibility in scheduling sessions was particularly appreciated, as it demonstrated his commitment to accommodating my needs. Moreover, Paul’s kindness wasn’t just limited to me. He consistently showed compassion and understanding towards everyone in our classes, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. This positive atmosphere was further enhanced by Christine, the friendly face at the front desk. Her cheerful demeanor, so evident even through phone conversations, never failed to brighten my day.I am truly grateful for the exceptional service I received. The team’s professionalism, coupled with their genuine care, made a significant difference in my life. Thank you for going above and beyond in providing not just a service, but a truly supportive experience.”
