we bought a hot tub spa from Amanda, she was awesome from the beginning. She was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and very easy in all aspects of the sale. Delivery time came and Spencer and Amanda worked to make everything just right. He maneuvered the trailer like a pro and did everything possible to protect the hot tub. He will also provide service if needed. The hot tub is now in its home and wired up and ready for use. Amanda went over chemical use and we are pleased. Designer backyard living worked out well for us and answered all our questions. We recommend giving them a try. Dan& Debbie

Spencer came out and replaced my spa motor and ozonator. He did a great job, got to our job quickly and was super nice. I highly recommend him.

After all the rain we got this winter I was ready to get my Swimspa ready for the summer. After turning on the spa, the jets were not working. I called DBL and set up an appointment. Spenser came out on time and was very pleasant and understanding of my situation. After hours of troubleshooting he diagnosed the problem as the control board and motors needing to be replaced. This was my fault as the vault had filled with water and submerged the circuit board and motor. The storm had tripped the circuit breaker to the sump pump that was suppose to prevent this. Spenser ordered the parts and made additional recommendations after inspecting the rest of the unit. When parts arrived he scheduled and came out replaced parts. We're very happy with his honesty, work ethic and his company for getting everything up and running for this summer season. Your willingness to explain clearly the issues is a valuable asset. Working with Amanda and Spencer on buying our Swim Spa, was a great experience. Even after we received our spa, they were always willing and able to help us out with any questions we had. Great people!

Husband and I put a deposit of $1000 down on a spa that we liked. We were told that it was fully refundable. We then made the appointment (we thought) for Spencer to come out and do the site inspection. When he didn't show up, we called the store, and he called us back a little bit later, said he had to get his kid ready and then he'd be at our house. He'd clearly forgotten about his appointment with us. He was very thorough in his site inspection - no issues there, and he is a very friendly guy. We were going to pay cash for the spa, but Spencer said we either had to pony up the actual cash, or write him a check, and then he would refund us our deposit. Uhhhh.... what? Sounds a bit shady right? Did some reading about Hydropool, and about the business (The Spa Doctor) that Spencer used to work for. Not good. So, I called Spencer, told him that we had changed our minds, and would he please refund our deposit. He of course asked why, so I was pleasant, but honest, and said we weren't willing to take the risk. Then he launched into a schpiel about how he had to talk to the business partners and they were in Cabo, and the money would be refunded when they decided if it was ok yada yada yada. It's been a week. There is no sign of our refund yet. The business is not answering the phone or returning messages left. Also, there were ZERO reviews on YELP when I looked this business up last week since it changed names. Now suddenly there are 4 glowing reviews, all written in the last 6 days, and after I asked for our refund. Take that as you will.

They have an amazing selection of spas , Amanda was who helped me and my husband pick out ours for our new home . She was very honest , communicative and just an absolute joy to be around during this experience. I highly recommend designer backyard living ! If I could give more than 5 stars I would !

Spencer did a great job fixing my spa, fixed the motor, replace main box with heater. He was on time and checked out the whole spa. He went over everything about the repair with me and fixed a few things that needed it at no charge. Great job and great company. Thank you

We originally found DBL when we bought a used tub they took in as a trade on a new one. They say we have the record for fastest sale to set up (next day), thanks to Spencer making it possible. As soon as it was full and hot Spencer came and gave us a lesson on owning a hot tub and how to care for the water. We went through a phosphate debacle and they really helped us solve it when my DIY attempt didn't work. I sent Spencer so many pictures of foamy water and he was always there to help! We are planning to upgrade soon and will definitely be going through them again. Great customer service and they really stand behind their products. I highly recommend!!

My family is the proud new owner of a HydroPool Swim Spa and Amanda was extremely helpful in getting our new swim spa dialed with hard to find accessories. We are grateful to have found them here locally close to Roseville. Top notch customer service and we look forward to enjoying the best new addition to our backyard living.

I recommend this spa place because of Dennis he was super knowledgeable about their products. He was very straight forward with his spa experience and pricing. He was polite and a common sense guy. The paperwork was easy. Now I'm up to my neck in hot water, that's a good thing. Check him out if you are looking for a spa. Truly, Jerry
