Garbage wood! Full of splits and gouges. You might as well go to Home Depot. It’s a bummer because I’d like to support a local business. The folks that work there are lovely, but their product isn’t.

I have made two large decking and railing purchases in 2024. The customer service was exactly the same, terrible. One has some custom order items the second was stocked with different stores. I had to call after the expected arrival date, was never notified of any delivery information. Had to make many calls to get delivery delays. Latest call they stated all was ready for pickup only to arrive 3 days later and they were still short on parts. I feel they just don't care, all levels.

Horrible customer service with bad attitude. I was told by a manager “ if you don’t see it we don’t have it” but my question was can you get it. I never thought I would say I’d rather go to Home Depot but they do not want our business. I refuse to spend money at a cold shouldered supplier with a holier than thou piss pour attitude. Another customer lost to horrible customer service.

Quality of lumber we received was atrocious. We paid high grade prices and received low grade lumber. Luckily we were building a lean-to and not a high end home. I sent them these pictures and they were apologetic, saying they would partially refund us. Then they stopped emailing and calling us back and never followed through on their word. They were also racist towards my Hispanic worker and treated him like a criminal when he went to their yard in Auburn, saying “keep your eyes on him” audibly as if he was going to steal something. Plenty of other great places to get lumber with better prices, customer service, and quality.

Very nice team. Counter help and yard help have been helpful. Even the guy who checks you out of the yard once you have your lumber is very nice and even put a thick plastic red flag on the end of the wood for safety while driving.
Their prices are probably a third less than Home Depot and Lowes, so I won't buy wood anywhere else from now on. I would recommend the Auburn Diamond Pacific on Atwood Dr to anyone wanting less of a corporate (HD/Lowes) atmosphere of underpaid, jaded employees and wants to support a local branch with considerate local workers. Public is welcome. Not just contractors.

It is great to have a local provider of building materials. I use them often for my shed building business. They are always willing to go out of their way to get the special order materials I need. The customer service reps are super friendly and always go above and beyond to help me out.

I’m new to Auburn and needed some supplies so thought I would check out this store. The white haired man behind the counter had terrible customer service skills and basically ushered me out. I felt like I was racially profiled and I also felt like the staff had zero interest in helping me. There was a counter full of employees and I was the only customer in the entire store. Skip this place for sure.

Our real estate and development company builds homes in Auburn CA and we always get our building supplies from Diamond Pacific. Great people work here and their lumber prices are the BEST in town.
