The company took final payment. The railing was not installed properly and won’t pass final inspection. I called, texted, emailed the owner Dave Baran over 15 times over the past year. He refuses to call back or offer solutions.Once we have someone else repair it, we will see him in court.Things can go wrong, a reputable business will call back and make things right. I would think long and hard before using this company.

I paid Dave Baran $15k for a deposit for a job in Truckee. He installed the rail 3 months later. I was in LA so I paid him the balance. Turns out it was not secured properly which I saw when I visited the site in November. I called, emailed and texted too many times to count. He never has anyone pick up the phone. Now have other rail companies looking at the mess. The whole rail may have to be replaced since it won't pass inspection. I would think seriously before using this company. I will have to pay someone else and take this company to court.

In August of 20022 I met with Dave to scope my railing job. He came out and then we agreed on the job and he returned and said it would take 16 weeks to complete the work. He came out the next day and measured and told me he needed 50% down to start the job. I sent him a check that was cashed. I expected to hear from him in 12-16 weeks as he said sometimes he's early. 12 weeks was around December 2022. No email no phone call so I reached out and called and left messages. I emailed many times and I hired a lawyer to send him a demand letter to return my money. It i s now March 2023 and I have been charged around $4000. for no work or phone call or email. He seemed like a nice guy, but he took my money and vanished. Buyer beware. Paula Heegaard

Dave is a true craftsman in his trade. He is professional, he listens to what you need done and is quick to respond. His work and craftsmanship are excellent. He is building a custom iron door with glass inlay for our new house and we couldn't have picked a better guy to do it! We met him at the auburn home show and we are very glad we did. He's enthusiastic about his work and enjoys what he does. Looking forward to seeing it installed very soon!
