This place was the best. I hope they are able to revive it. It seemed to be very popular.

I love this butcher, and only hope they reopen soon after an unexpected 10 day or so closure. The selection and quality are outstanding. They've also started carrying fresh, in season fish which is a big plus. Things happen, but they need to add a phone message, or at least update their social media if they plan to be closed outside of their posted business hours for an extended time. I've wasted 2-trips from outside of Auburn only to find the business still closed, and they still don't answer the phone despite a sign indicating they were reopening on 6/22.

We have a big family and go through a lot of meat. I cannot afford to buy all my meat here but I buy as much as I can afford. Grocery store and Costco chicken started peeling the outer layer of skinless chicken breast when cooked (no matter how we cooked it) and the frozen chicken had so much liquid injected into each breast (so that the packager could sell the same amount of chicken breasts at the same weight and price) and it really impacts the quality and taste of what I’m cooking. Longhorns meat is quality and local. You can tell the difference in taste, tenderness, quality and consistency when cooking. After getting meat at Longhorn, I really question what’s in that grocery store meat.

Ashley is the best! Longhorn Meat Co has the best pickled green beans, jerky, sauce and more. I am a hug fan of their products. They are also very charitable towards local organizations in Auburn. Best meat company hands down.

I have been going to Longhorn for years. Have had our animals processed there as well as stopped in for prepackaged meats. The customer service there has always been top notch as well as their product. However, the last couple of visits have perplexed me as the counter help has gone down the drain. I've stood and listened to the interactions between the ladies behind the counter and customers. Very as a matter of fact, quick, and take it or leave it. My last visit will be the last for a while as I witnessed again the same attitude behind the counter. To the owner/manager, as I was not the actual person who was off put, I can tell you it definitely sent my dollar to another butcher.
