“I dropped in by the Wild Bird Station in Auburn,CA. Even though the address is on Grass Valley Highway, the shop is tucked back in the shopping plaza. It's easy peasy to find and there is lots of parking spots. Great local owned small business selling bird feed, feeders, bird houses, bird nature guides and books, garden art, and decorative kitchen ware and gifts and then some. It was my first time here. I was lucky enough to meet the owner. He has been in business for 29 years. Besides being super knowledgeable about birds and the local areas, he was just a super cool person to talk to. They sell birdseed by the pound. They have about 12 varieties of seed priced from $1.50-$2.59. The inventory is current and the shop is clean and decorated in a fun, fresh way. The item that caught my eye was the $9.95 laminated compact foldable field guide of art illustrated birds with descriptions. Well one of the many items that caught my eye. Drop on by, you may find something that catches your fancy.”

“I had my shop compressor catch on fire and in Reno no one had a compressor available - shop was at a stand still.. Got online and Auburn was the closest. Called to confirm since i been burned by our local TSC that shows stock and doesnt have it. Wish I wrote down names ( dealt with five employees in total) to give credit but everyone we dealt with was very polite and helpfull. From loading, wandering the store and got great dinner advise since it was a 3 hour round trip.”

“Great store for dogs cat fish and bird items. Lots of beautiful parakeets. They do not have farm animals supplies or food. No chicken supplies. We purchased a small cozy house for our love birds. Prices were fair comparable to online stores. Shop local if you can, I love the convenience of having pet stores for emergencies. Last year our ? got skunked in the face ?! It was horrible but they had some good over the counter solutions. In the end nothing but time really helped for our scenario but they had a great selection to choose from.Be well everyone and Happy New Year!?”
