Every male that works at this establishment is a fucking idiot, apparently although I've never needed an account number before and have only ever given them my phone number that's not acceptable for any male that works there. The female that works there has absolutely no problem helping you out in order to make your car payment but apparently the men just want to fuck you over and make sure you get charged a late fee. And although you have your social and ID AND phone number just doesn't work for them and you can just go fuck yourself apparently. Oh and don't try to contact them because they have one phone number for you to call that's located in Yuba city and has nothing to do with each individual location so that's their way to not have to deal with angry people.

I have only been with this Credit Union for less than a year (and won't be much longer) and I have dealt with their old website that usually didn't even show me all of the information it should have and now with the new one I have NO ACCESS to my business account!!. This has been going on for weeks and I keep getting the same old story every time I have to go in there. They are incompetent!!! And like other reviews I see here one woman at the counter was literally slathering herself with lotion which was actually rather disturbing and very unprofessional!

I NEVER write reviews but hopefully this helps a potential new customer make an informed decision as to if they really want to choose this bank. This is a terrible branch. The manager is unprofessional, rude and does not present herself with any professionalism at all. I have heard gossiping between employees regarding bank customers, including details about their account balances. The manager was on her personal cell phone texting in plain sight (while I was waiting to be helped..) and then took a personal call from her boyfriend/husband (all while I was still waiting to be helped and with only one other employee on the branch floor) Also, when they went to run my auto payment, they ran it MULTIPLE TIMES! Totaling close to $2500, and simply told me to wait 3 business days (possibly longer) to get the money back in my acct… I have bills to pay. They refused to do anything else for me. Incredibly rude and defensive. I complained to the mangers boss (who is located at a different branch, she was polite and much more professional) but seamed to not believe me and said that she was shocked to hear that the manager was so unprofessional, because she has a great reputation. Clearly based on these reviews that is not the case. Do better Sierra Central, this branch needs to be retrained entirely and perhaps some employment changes would benefit the company as a whole. My entire family has switched banks and I know many more who are ready to start the process. As someone who just started a business and opened bank accounts associated with that, I am counting my blessings that I did not open a business account here!!

The difference between the Auburn and Roseville staff is shocking. While the Roseville branch's staff is knowledgeable, courteous and friendly, the Auburn staff is precisely the opposite. Refusing to accept a payment without "their version" of a valid photo ID is ridiculous on all conceivable levels. (If someone wants to pay my bill, I don't care who it is, let them!) Additionally, they attempted to charge me fees for an account that I never established in the first place.I strongly suspect that SCCU employees who fail to meet acceptable standards of intelligence and professionalism, but who cannot be terminated due to fear of retaliation or other bureaucratic excuses, are simply shuffled off to the Auburn branch. Avoid it if at all possible.

Sierra Central credit Union's customer service is located in the Yuba city branch. Their customer service is absolutely horrible. I have never experienced such nasty people in a professional environment. It is unfortunate that the Auburn branch will get a low score because of Yuba City. The Auburn branch is great but you are referred to customer service for any support. Once you're a member you are doomed. They will block access to your account as well as your money. I strongly discourage anyone from banking with Sierra Central credit Union. If you are disabled or suffer any illness that causes you difficulty to understand your banking, when you ask for help Yuba City branch will ridicule you and not help you.

Americans with disabilities should beware of this branch and its rude and spiteful manager . I have COPD and im LEAGLY BLIND which means I have difficulty breathing even under normal circumstances and my vision is extremely poor and my overall mobility is compromised. My Mother who is in poor health asked me to drop off her car payment to the Bell rd. branch in Aubufn California. When I went in the business I was rudly advised of thier mask policy. I told them Due to my COPD and under my Dr.s orders I do not wear a mask because I can not breath . They said in a rude manner they didn't care and the payment would NOT be accepted unless I had a mask . My only option was to put the payment on the counter and walk away . Due to my Mother's poor health I had to make 2 more trips to this business and each time I was treated in the same rude and inconsiderate manner with no care at all for my disability or the Americans with Disabilities Act. To add insult to injury Sierra Central claimed they never received those payments or that they were made late. When confronted with bank statements that proved otherwise the managers attitude was so what. There were numerous ways management could have reacted and accomidated this situation but they chose to bully and discriminate the disabled . I bank with Wells Fargo and Bank of America and both of these businesses go out of there way to show understanding to thier disabled customers and i would strongly recommend them as an alternative to Siarra Central .

Sierra Central has been our credit union for 7 years. The Chico and Auburn staff are terrific. We have had several extra special in-branch experiences with Alexandra Steele, Financial Service Associate in Auburn. She is so wonderful and has saved us a lot of money. Our daughter opened new accounts this week. There were a few glitches but Alexandra worked it out for our daughter. Our daughter was so happy! Then while I was there Alex, remembering how she had saved us money last December, said “Kathie, I think I can save you more money with a consolidation loan”. She is a go-getter and she doesn’t relax until she can save you money. When all was said and done, thanks to Alexandra’s diligence, professionalism and perseverance she saved us at least $2,000. She truly treated us like family. I highly recommend Sierra Central if you like old fashioned truly personal service.
