I went into the Rite Aid store on Gladstone in Azusa looking for an employee I didn't know to bring them an animal food donation that a friend of theirs had posted to help starving pets. As I waited for the employee, who was on break at the time, I thought of doing a little shopping after, but the evil looks I received from the 2 girls at the register changed my mind. After that, I just wanted to get out of the store ASAP. Employees should be friendly and not leave a potential customer feeling uncomfortable.

I like to come in just to buy ice cream from the counter some nights. I usually experience great service but the last two times the dark hairs you get girl working ice cream has been rude to me and my family as well as inefficient. She is the only employee I have encountered that consistently has multiple (like most) ice cream flavors out. She also seems to like to close early. My family stood at the counter deciding on our flavors for 5+ minutes in which she looked back 4-5 times before saying "closed" and turning back around. The only reason I'm still giving two stars is because I encountered the hardest working employee around on one of my ice cream trips. He was running 3 registers at once and running the ice cream counter. While wearing a thrifty's ice cream hat. He was great. And he had all his flavors, many of which he had just taken from the freezer towards closing.

This Rite Aid is A-Okay. I like it enough to keep using it. It's certainly close by, so grabbing prescriptions monthly here just makes good sense. The only other pharmacy in the vicinity I can think of is Walmart, and I generally avoid going to Walmart if possible. It's way more messier at Walmart than at Rite Aid, among a handful of other reasons. Two other highlights that I enjoy are 1) the ice cream parlor section, where you can get ice cream on a cone to go, (although you can also definitely buy them by the tubs from the freezer, they run about $3.50 each), 2) the Amazon lockers! (Located near the pharmacy, towards the back.) I would order merchandise from Amazon from time to time, and I know better to have them delivered to my door. The theft rate of boxes left near front doors is insanely high as of late. People with no morals are just running rampant. Shipping your packages to these lockers, however, offers strong security. And just like picking up my rx, getting my parcels here at Rite Aid is so easy--love it. Downsides though? Efficiency--it's mostly lacking. No matter if you go to the pharmacy, or the front store, do not expect fast service. They are... all right. Passable. If you're in a hurry, chances are, you won't get out on time. There's usually a line built up, and they are pretty much understaffed all the time, so there is no measure on how to counteract the long queue. You just gotta... wait it out. The last time I tried to purchase a few containers of ice cream, I stood there for a full 10 minutes, because there is only one cashier working. (He's already working really hard--not his fault, per se.) And I only had 1 or 2 customers ahead of me! ...It didn't help they each purchased about 10-20 items. Holiday shopping, I suppose. And the parking lot. The horrible parking lot. The customers that come to this plaza/strip mall tend to be... let's just say... they be crazy drivers. Many of them will not obey the stop signs, some will speed down the road, or sometimes you'll get honked for absolutely nothing. It's irritating. These things happen often when the place gets crowded, so be forewarned. You have to be alert, both as a pedestrian and a (defensive) driver. Tip: Go early or go late when it's less busy; then it's not too bad. Weighing the pros against the cons, an appropriate 3-star rating, yes? Yeah, I do have to make sure I have plenty of time cushion whenever I choose to visit this location, but it's a small price to pay in the grand scheme of things, and I would likely keeping using Rite Aid to my advantage.

Amazing pharmacy, so helpful, convenient, relátale. Cannot say the same for the actual store. Miserable sound cloud rapper looking man working register here. Maybe he was just having a bad day but he literally screamed that my card declined. He just looks so unhappy to be here lmao. Yikes.

Nothing makes me feel more uncomfortable to see how the heavy set lady with blonde pony tail and tattoos talks to her employees. Corporate please step in. I noticed that a lot of reviews mention her as well.. sorry rite aid, I'll take the drive to Walgreens..

At about 230pm December 22, 2019, the management and clerk was very rude to me. I wanted to load my Netspend card but the clerk didn't know how so I volunteered information which she ignored, resulting in the transaction being declined. The manager steps in (heavy set white lady with short/ ponytailed hair) she got mad at me for telling the clerk the right way to load the card. They then ignored me for 5 min serving other customers. I had to tell them "I still needed this done" The manager then took my Netspend card and did it correctly, then rudely thru my card down. I was shocked and told her she needed another job. This store has the worse service.

Went to rite aid in Azusa for a scoop of ice cream. Baldy, urban cashier man behind the ice cream counter was rude , unapproachable and downright not meant to hold a customer service position. If scooping ice cream for a living is going to annoy you or make you bitter then its probably best you don't scoop ice cream for a living. First, he washes his hands then places a hair net on his bald head then scratches the side of his head and proceeds to place his head flakes that are stuck underneath his nails inside the ice cream freezer. He didn't wash his hands after scratching his head. So gross. The ice cream area was dirty and the floor was sticky. He had no interest in helping customers or helping his co workers. I told the gal at the counter of her co workers inability to be handle customers and she replied "I'll talk to him". I went to rite aid off grand instead. The outside looks urban and parking lot is always dirty.

I don't like to give negative feedback on here but I feel like for this situation I must. I went in last week with my niece to buy a pill sorted. I don't really know the store so naturally I had a hard time. Some of the employees saw us struggle but didn't offer to help. The either turned their heads or stood there talking. When I finally found it I went to the register, there was a man standing waiting to be checked out so we stood behind him. The lady told some other man that was trying to cut that she had guest in line and that she'd help him after us. As soon as she finished with the man before us, another man wakes up to the counter and she began ringing him up. Apparently we were in the wrong line when I mentioned that we were next. She continues ringing him up for his beer and proceeded to talk badly about myself and my niece to the man in Spanish. She made hand signals and glanced at us as if we didn't know what she was saying. This was a very unprofessional and uncomfortable experience for me. I was shocked at her ignorance and audacity to disrespect us in that manner. When it came my turn to be rung up, I'm not going to lie I was rude and I spoke to her in Spanish. It was only then that she decided to be nice to us. I wasn't having it. She was a fake employee. I will not return to this store, I hope there is a meeting or something to better the customer service in this store. Either way I won't return there ever.

Great deals all the time. The staff is really nice. I've also used their pharmacy a couple times and their very nice and quick! I love coming to this rite aid. Their pretty clean and organized as well. I've made stops at other rite aids and their all dirty, empty and unorganized. This one is great
