“Wound up with new problems than what I brought it in with. Bringing my vehicle back in for a third time tomorrow. Got charged double the estimate. Ac stopped working tech yanked a wire then said my wires are too thin. Broke my coolant resivor.
Update: tech fixed problems, asked for a discount for the trouble it has caused including extra parts out of my pocket for repairs. I won't change my review unless it all gets fixed.”
“Jesse, Eric, and Luis were life savers! Our truck blew a tire just outside of Baker. Towed in to American Tire Company just as they were closing. Those guys worked fast and were beyond professional by replacing the tire. They went above and beyond and so many different ways. Hats off to those men.”

“I barely made it into town with my four kids in an overheating Suburban and blinking check engine light. Darrel and John were very accommodating and kind, and got us back on the road after only a few hours (thankfully it was nothing too serious).”
“Midas diagnosed oil leaks (I didn't see any) and stated my valve cover gasket needed replacing, timing chain cover gasket needed replacing and that my 16 month old water pump (Midas installed) needed replacing. Oh and that I should replace my timing chain since the cover would already be off.
Before Mike's Auto was about to replace the valve cover gasket He brought me out to the garage and inspected where Midas said the leaks were and we couldn't find any leaks. He also did a pressure test to see if there was any indication that the water pump was leaking and there was no pressure loss so the water pump appeared to be fine. I appreciate the gentleman at Mike's Auto for personally showing me and being honest. He could have just taken the $250 and put on a gasket but he only charged me 75 bucks since this essentially just turned into a vehicle inspection. Honesty like this can almost guarantee repeat business and I really appreciate it. The only con would be that he appears to be a one-man show so you can't really just arrive and expect a service to be done that day; it looks like you have to make an appointment for everything which I understand.”

“I was traveling from the Portland OR area down to Joshua Tree, CA.
Ran into some truck problems and got stuck over the weekend in a small town, where I thought my truck problems had been remedied, ends up to not be true.
Made it to Barstow where I found out I still had a fuel leak.
Made it over to Hi Desert, where l was able to talk to the owner and ask a few questions.
He was SWAMPED BUSY! Came out and spent 20 min screwing with my truck.
Unfortunately he couldn’t fix my problem then, but he was super forthcoming with the advice I needed to fix it myself. He wouldn’t even take the cash I offered for his time..
I got it fixed (not easy)
Went back the next day, he double checked my work, cleared some codes, and let me get on with my trip.
These guys are the best!

“I can't even explain how happy I was for the man who was there today to help me. I went to another tire shop first and the other shop refused service on account of there was only one employee there, I went to Mota's and he was busy answering phone calls talking to guests that drove up & taking care of my car effortlessly without breaking a sweat & when it was all said and done. The man gave me my money back. Because he didn't have to do a patch but he did take my tire off and help ease my nerves so I tipped him for his troubles best service I've had in a long time. Very nice people as well.”
“We were a couple of tired travelers having just made it across the East Cali desert on 120° summer day. We pulled off in Barstow to get fuel. The coolant dumped all over the asphalt. We knew we couldn't go any further. We were in a 1 ton diesel, not everybody works on those. I called four places and finally got a referral to Elite Auto and Fleet. I spoke to Kevin there and he said yes, we can fix that, but we don't have any openings until tomorrow morning. We asked him to put us on the schedule. We knew we didn't have any other options. About a half an hour later he called and said he could see us at 2 PM. We were overjoyed. He diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts and had us back on the road by 4:30 PM the same day! He said he thought about our predicament and knew exactly how we felt. He really did us a turn by squeezing us in. I cannot recommend this auto shop highly enough!”

“I have been taking my autos to Midas for the last 5 cars I've owned. They are people friendly and saved my butt a couple of times with their point inspections having caught needed fixes for issues that were potentially big. One was they rotated my tires while getting an oil change and spotted the left rear e brake was sticking and had premature worn pads. (first service on this preowned car and dealer fixed it under waranty).The other was spotting a waranty item of tiny oil leak from ford ecoboost turbo returning. After dealer fixed it it quickly returned to Midas so they could do a visual check for correct repairs and a solvent rinse off of associated area. Very happy with their findings they print out of needed maintenance items found while getting service. Then I could plan budget the dollars needed to take care of it. The cost out of pockets for simple maintenance keeps us safe on our road trips .”

“Came in to get a new tire knowing I still needed an alignment after Midas just charged me $185 to do it. Mike showed me proof that Midas never even broke the bolts loose to adjust the camber. Mike at E&A tires is very transparent and gives you options so you can choose how to proceed. I appreciate the help Mike!”

“Words can't express how impressive the owner of Casey auto repair shop is......I was driving from LA to Vegas in my Mercedes & my serpentine belt broke in Barstow. I expected to be way overpriced for repairs since I was in the middle of the desert. Casey's shop was recommended to me by a Barstow resident, who said she is honest & fair w her pricing.
They were 100% correct!!!! Casey recommended I use an honest tow company.
She diagnosed my car, ordered the parts & had her excellent mechanics repair it in under 2 hours. The cost was only $340 which is comparable to big city charges! Ur car's in good hands at her shop!???

“Great driver. Joshua was quick and efficient. We had some nice conversation on the 2 hour drive. I started in Covina and was headed to Afton Canyon for a 4x4 adventure when the engine blew at Calico road by Eddie's World. Thankfully I was able to coast in to the parking lot. I called AAA and the roll off truck arrived 45 minutes later and drove me back to Covina. It wasn't the adventure I expected, but the service was great. Now off to the guy that rebuilt my 302 two years and only 1,000 miles ago.”
