I have been taking my autos to Midas for the last 5 cars I've owned. They are people friendly and saved my butt a couple of times with their point inspections having caught needed fixes for issues that were potentially big. One was they rotated my tires while getting an oil change and spotted the left rear e brake was sticking and had premature worn pads. (first service on this preowned car and dealer fixed it under waranty).The other was spotting a waranty item of tiny oil leak from ford ecoboost turbo returning. After dealer fixed it it quickly returned to Midas so they could do a visual check for correct repairs and a solvent rinse off of associated area. Very happy with their findings they print out of needed maintenance items found while getting service. Then I could plan budget the dollars needed to take care of it. The cost out of pockets for simple maintenance keeps us safe on our road trips .

Midas claims they replaced the valve cover gaskets on a 2002 ford taurus when in fact they never did I had to replace them my self and when I did replace the valve cover gaskets there was silicone around them Midas you lied about replacing the valve cover gaskets

I am absolutely disgusted by the experience I had at this mechanic shop. I brought in my 2013 Chevy Sonic for what I thought was a simple repair, only to be hit with a $6000 bill for tearing open my engine. When I realized the cost was outrageous and asked them to stop work, they just threw engine parts in the back hatch, causing oil to leak all over the interior and leaving parts missing.
Not only did they charge me for labor for disassembly and reassembly that never actually occurred, they never reimbursed me the difference. There was no apology, no compensation, and no effort to make things right. It is clear that this company thrives on taking advantage of people and their lack of ethics is truly appalling.
I would strongly advise against using this mechanic shop and urge others to steer clear of their dishonest and predatory business practices. It is clear that they do not have the best interest of their customers in mind and should not be trusted with any vehicle repairs.

If I could give negative stars I would....i do not recommend midas in barstow..took my car to midas to get my ac blower motor fixed and got my car back with issues, that it didn't have prior to going there...took it back to them and they said that it drove fine everytime they drove it..

I forget the gentleman's name (he works at Barstow and Lakewood locations), but he was understanding and friendly with our emergency stop at this location. The Midas team was able to identify the issue that we believe Honda Services caused, and got me out within 2 hours. I appreciate what you guys do in such hot weather! When you are in an emergency situation, reach out to this Midas location if you are in trouble around here.

Fast ,friendly service, very reasonably priced,I recommend Midas for your auto needs, I was able to visit to Midas, on Main street, for my auto needs, the mechanic came in and explained the process needed, Once again, fast, friendly staff and service. The ladies in the office are very friendly and make you feel comfortable, so for those of us with some social anxiety, they make me feel at ease,Midas is reasonably priced and fast friendly service, thank you, and I will be returning with my future auto needs, and recommend Midas to my friends and associates.
