I have come to this hardware store many times in an effort to support our smaller local businesses. Everyone is pretty good except for the guy in the lumber department. I have gone back there two times to buy lumber, and the first time I was ignored until I asked him if he could help then he made me feel like I was bothering him. I actually just left there and this time he talked to me as if I was beneath him. I can just go across to Home Depot, and not have to put up with someone like this. It's a shame that one rotten apple spoils the whole barrel. From now on I'm going Home Depot.
UPDATE: I came in here again to buy a part and I already knew where it was in the store. I had 10 minutes before the store closed on July 3rd. As soon as I walked through the door a lady asked me, in a not so nice way, what I needed, and told me that they were about to close. Obviously, she wanted to get out of there to start her Fourth of July weekend. I thought that was rude. I knew I had 10 minutes before they closed, and I was out in 5 minutes. That didn't make me feel like a valued customer; she was unkind and inconsiderate, and a poor representative of this business.

From time-to-time one might have the good fortune to be the benefactor of customer service that eclipses all previous merchant/customer interactions. Yesterday, I had such an experience at the Beaumont Home Center on 6th Street here in Beaumont. My search was for a simple nut threaded with “compression threads”, except the thread requirement was that they be through-and-through. The nut was to be for securing a faucet to a kitchen countertop. Alas, such a nut is only available as a component of a kitchen faucet kit. That was the costly problem-solution, buy a complete faucet kit, until Mary of Beaumont Home Center asked me the question “ are you finding everything?” As if with magic powers manifested in Mary’s nimble fingers a very adequate solution emerged into fruition. Within ten minutes a four dollar remedy was ready to take home. Really good job Mary!

Bill is the sweetest guy ever and helped us out so many times during a big move while we were trying to hookup our stove! He was very patient and kind, he even helped us connect the adapters in store so we could have an easy set up at home. Our cashier Zeke was also very helpful in processing quick returns and he didn't judge us for our multiple trips which was great. They also have a shop kitty here and she is so cute and friendly!

The store manager Mary hargrave and her trustee side kick that works at register, kicked me out of store for wearing a backpack, after I explained that I rode a bike and keep my personal things in there and carrying the part I was looking for. Racial profiling and assuming the customer who comes walking in with tattoos and a backpack is going to steal. Would you ask a woman to remove her purse and leave it in the front? I think not. Not everyone is a thief and your policies were not posted when you walk in. Sad because I'm a local and occasionally do my shopping there. Never again and hopefully people see this store and people like Mary for what they truly are! Thanks do it best!

This place is a great place. Somebody is always there to help you in every department. The prices are a little more than home Depot but the costumer service makes you feel like family. They really love to help people here and take the time to explain things that you are confused about. Plus it sure beats driving down the mess on highland springs to get to home Depot.

Came here because Home Depot lost my business due to lack of management and customer service. Here everyone helps annd greets you and they have everything needed.

This the the "go to place" when you need help for a special project that requires professional advice or parts. They have the hardware or plumbing components that the big box stores won't have or have no idea what you need. The store help in all the departments is always very knowledgeable and courteous. This is a local business that I hope never gets pushed out by the big chain stores. Support your local businesses.
