“This place is wonderful! I’m from out of town and had a nasty accident nearby. I was worried they’d turn me away because of how damaged my car was. They went above and beyond to inspect my car and repaired it enough for me to be able to drive back home safely to San Diego. The family that operates the shop are very kindhearted and passionate about their craft. Their energy was very comforting and you can tell that they treat their clients with a lot of compassion and respect. I would go to them more often if I was from the area.”

If you tell them do a full tune up and the mechanics see that you don't need something included in the tune up they wont do it and of course not charge it because they work with you and really try to help you. I have been in different places around and honestly this place is the best. The Owner is a great person and it is a family business so you feel very comfortable there. Great environment. “I had my transmission go and needed a shop. I reached out to a trusted mechanic I’d used in the past and they recommended Gil’s. I did my due diligence and shopped around, but felt good about the quote and the service rep (Jose). I dropped the truck off Thursday and had it back the next Wednesday. I saw the part that broke and felt confident these gentlemen knew what they were doing. I’ve had the truck almost a week now and it feels brand new. Most importantly, they offer a 1 year/12,000 mile warranty which is worth it considering how complex transmissions are. Jose was honest and professional.
