“Aldi is one of my weekly rotation grocery stops, and being in the area for infrared sauna/ Himalayan salt lounge sessions, I needed a quick snack to satisfy my hunger.
This location has a similar layout to my home store in Cerritos, with most/all items available. Yet, it seems more sterile & bland, which could be just in my head. Like all Aldi stores, there never seems to be enough cashiers, as checkout lines accumulate customers with accompanying wait times. Here's hoping self checkout lines are implemented by Aldi.
I came in for a snack, and I purchased my snack. Aldi, the parent company of Trader Joe's, has great prices & easy to navigate stores. I much prefer shopping here, than someplace else, such as Albertson's or Vons. I'd visit again, if and when the opportunity presents itself.”
“I want to commend the young man who was checking out customers and had to professionally explain that they don’t support holding a place in line. The person was extremely angry and your staff member remained calm and clear. Those of us who were in the growing line appreciated how he handled the situation. “I’ve been to the bakery at least 3 time by now, and while I haven’t tried everything they offer. The few items I have tried were EXTREMELY tasty. My favorite so far is the Oreo cinnamon roll for $4.50, but other notable items are definitely their cakes. Not only that but staff are super friendly, one of the times I visited a staff member and I had a friendly conversation which brightened my day. Some staff don’t speak a ton of English but I didn’t have any problems when purchasing any baked goods.”
“I'm visiting from the Bay area and I've always been curious of what an Aldi's was like. I guess my first impression was that it was less of a Trader Joe's and more like a Grocery Outlet Bargain Market but cleaner and more spacious.
I no longer feel like we're missing out in the bay after this experience.”

“i go here every week, its a small hmart compared to other local ones, like the one in olympic mall, but it always has things i love to eat and the weekly sales are competitive. however sometimes they don't stock too much of something and it runs out very fast. i just wish theyd start sampling like they do in gaju market 💔”

“really had a great first time here and got everything i needed. I had trouble finding doubanjiang that i needed for a recipe. I had it written on my phone. I asked 2 employees for help. they both immediately brushed me off about “no english” before even looking at what i was after. I spent a lot of time looking for it independently. Later an older white woman asked one of the same employees for help and he decided to help her. It put a bad taste in my mouth but the store selection is great”

“I have been taking my elderly parents to the Alhambra Ranch 99 Market even years before the Pandemic. Workers are very friendly and helpful. Grocery selection abundant and I stock. Seafood, meats, fruits and vegetables are fresh. Bakery items hot and tasty. Also, there are 3 in store specialty food shops to buy prepared food dishes. Very satisfied and highly recommend！”
“My go to grocery store and i love that they close late because sometimes i have an emergency for something i have to make early in the morning so that helps a lot. The only thing is the strawberries and grapes are never in good shape but sometimes they’re pretty good, wish it was always that way. Other than that i love it.”

“I got a watermelon from there get home cut it. I was very upset because it was mushy and soft but I put it in the refrigerator and came back and tried it and it was perfect so folks I would like to say I learned something new I did not know that I guess when it's really hot outside and you cut into a watermelon. Sometimes it's mushy inside you put it in the fridge raider it was perfect. I will be back. Thank you.”

“I really enjoy shopping at ALDI in Downey. It’s one of those places where you go in for a few things and end up finding a bunch of stuff you didn’t even expect. They’ve got a great mix of meats, snacks, household items, and little treats—you can honestly get most of what you need in one trip.
The prices are a big win. You definitely pay less here compared to a lot of other stores, which makes a huge difference.
My only small complaint is that I wish there were more options for fresh vegetables and fruits. The selection can feel a bit limited sometimes. But honestly, everything else makes up for it.
Overall, it’s a reliable, affordable place to shop with good parking and a solid variety of products. I keep coming back for a reason.”

“I recently picked up Walkerhill Kimchi from Hannam Chain and was really happy to find it here. The kimchi tasted fresh, flavorful, and reminded me of the authentic Korean kimchi I grew up eating. We enjoyed both the napa cabbage kimchi and radish kimchi with several meals, and they paired perfectly with everything from rice to noodles. Hannam Chain always has a great selection of Korean products, and I was excited to discover Walkerhill Kimchi during my visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Korean flavors!”
