Be very rude not let you finish and talk to you as if your dumb with the questions he let's you ask. My friend had started some divorce proceedings with this business and then she kind of left things alone. One day speaking to her about the divorce she asked if she could complete the process. Given the amount of time that had elapsed I let her know she had 2 months, or so, to finalize things before she would be forced to refile and in turn pay the fees all over again- as per CA law when I looked it up. She asked if I could help her finish it and I asked if she'd initially paid an attorney, it turns out she'd paid this notary (Lagos "Professional" Services) so I told her to go back to them since they'd started the ball rolling. She asked me to accompany her since she's a little slower in grasping legal information, I obliged an she set up an appointment. Fast forward to the day of the appointment, the man who "helped" us kept talking while giving her little chance to interject. One of the things he kept taking about was "child support," I tried to explain that child support was no longer an issue because so much time had elapse that the "child" was now over 18years of age (an adult in the eyes of the law). Both she and I tried to explain this REPEATEDLY and every time he would cut us off. At one point he called me rude, told me I had NO reason to be there, and that unlike him, I know NOTHING about the law-- his voice raised every time he spoke to the point where he ended up yelling at me and then my friend... his client. She and I gathered our things and started to walk out, this man is so completely unprofessional that he literally followed us out of his office YELLING at us in front of the other clients sitting in the waiting area. He continued shouting at us as we stepped out of the establishment, specifically shouting as he insulted my intelligence, calling me things like ignorant, rude, uneducated, and d**** Mind you that at no point had we questioned his abilities, we literally just wanted to explain that he did NOT need to worry about child support because there was NO minor to claim child support for anymore. I was completely disgusted by his behavior because I am literally the one who told my friend to go back to them, needless to say she did NOT go back to him after this "interaction." To make matters worse, these people need to learn the meaning of ***Conflict of Interest*** because a business that handles your soon-to-be-ex-husband's tax filing should NOT be handling YOUR divorce. Yes ladies and gents, at the time my friend paid these people to file her divorce papers these people were also taking her (at that time) husband's money to file for HIS taxes. They knew about the conflict of interest because the notary had the nerve to ask my friend how her still then husband was doing when we arrived for the appointment. To make matters worse, after I accompanied my friend to the office this "professional" told her now ex-husband about our visit. We know this because her ex-husband asked her whom she'd taken with her because the " professional" told him I'd been rude, that I'd yelled at him and had made a scene... basically accusing me of the things he'd actually been the one responsible for. That said, we are so fortunate that we live in a time when answers are literally at out fingers tips because I did all the research on handling a divorce. I was able to help my friend proceed with and finalize her divorce before she was required to start from scratch. That man who called me ignorant seems to forget that people can look things up for themselves and from what I could tell, he is NOT an attorney, he's JUST a notary so he needs to bring that pride of his down several notches. I am certain he had to attend classes etc. to get a notary license and should be proud of that accomplishment but being proud does not mean you get to treat people like dirt or assume that others are d**** You, Sir, are not omnipotent.
