I had a great experience today at Performance 4 Wheel Drive…
After visiting several “Specialists” in the field… (they were only “Specialists” in their door sign) no one could put back together my Differential Gears…
Mr. Ken helped us… he only asked “What is this” (all of my gears were in a cardboard box)… “what car do those gears belong to” we simply answered… 2019 Chevy Colorado… Mr. Ken said “No problem” It took him approximately 20-25 minutes, with his expertise and the appropriate tools, he came back with my gears all put together in the right way… Pricing was also very commensurate with the task at hand… I highly recommend Performance 4 Wheel Drive… Friendly, professional, affordable, and prompt service…

2000 Ford Ranger 4.0 4x4 Manual 5-speedMyself and a mechanic had determined that my 8.8 was overly worn and had excessive backlash. Wanting to build this truck as a mild overlander I wanted to upgrade the open differential to an LSD. I searched and found this place after being recommended by a few other people. I hit the jackpot.Ken, the owner. opened the shop at 25, and now in his 60s you get that sought after experience. He is a straight shooter, will call you before doing anything, will diagnose the issue and then give you your options. This man and his crew are extremely efficient and get things done FAST because they ONLY work on these sort of things, no engine or electrical.I mentioned that I wanted to upgrade from open to LSD and asked for his advice. Ken spent a few minutes explaining to me my options, pros and cons on different types of a limited-slip differentials. After telling him the plan for my Ranger, he gave me his recommendation and I am so happy I took it. I dropped this off at 9am and Ken got this whole job done by 1:30pm and that included a manual trans drain and fill service.*It has been 200 miles since I had this installed and this thing feels like a completely different truck on the pavement. I will update once I take her off-road and again after a few thousand miles.

Had my Landcruiser towed to the shop to have the differential repaired. They did a great job. I’ve put 800 hard miles on it since and performs great. Price was excellent and I am referring everyone I know with 4wd cars here. I’m also saving up to have my Jeep worked on and may have them upgrade my rear axle to lockers.3 years and 10000 miles later, still rolling smooth. I want to get an adjustment, but no money right now. Flushed differentials and replaced cv axles no metal on the plugs. Great work.

Look no further, This is the best place for your differential needs. Took in my 2003 Mercury Marauder, Chase took care of me right away with a quote and estimated time for repair. Dropped my car in the morning and it was ready the same day. The price was just right and they had me back on the road the same day, Chase took the time to explain to me what was done and what to look for when determining how to avoid such issues.
