I came here just 30 minutes before the store closed and as soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted by a friendly gentleman named Frank. It was my first time at this store as I'm a new dog mom and went in here pretty much clueless. Frank was extremely helpful, patient, and knowledgable about the product there. He even helped me load my car with a heavy bag of dog food. Overall, I had a great first experience here and will definitely be back.

Best customer service! Took my very picky pup in to try some new treats, the reps at the front were so helpful and let Honu try smelling and tasting many treats until we found two he loved

Excelente experience washing here. I rolled on poo a couple of times so this place was super helpful to clean myself. Customer service was always good and they didn't mind me screaming because I don't like getting washed. Will always visit when in the area. 5 bones! Woof!

We've seen this place time and time again as we drive by but have never stopped in. So glad we finally did. We went on two different occasions and had different folks working. they have all been above and beyond with their service. Talked us through everything and offered some super great advice and perspectives. This store is clean and has tons of options. We will be back for sure.

This location is stocked with all of the goodies my golden enjoys. The staff is always friendly and ready to answer any questions I have. I really appreciate not being followed and asked many questions while I'm shopping unless I specifically ask for help. Also they offer pretty awesome deals on training treats :) me and my doggo love it here!

I see I am not the only customer that has been treated rudely by this store's staff members. Validation they have bad customer service. I was prescribed a renal failure diet for my 3 yr old dog last November and came here to get the just food for dogs. The staff was rude every time I shopped there. There is friendly and helpful and there is rude and unhelpful. My dog passed away in November. I stopped shopping there until I got a puppy in March. The Redwood city location (which is not rude) recommended a puppy food. I began going on semi weekly to get puppy food. A pet sitter who I worked with gave me a vip card to use there. I had problems activating it online and a member at the corporate headquarters helped me on.the phone set it up. The staff members at this location were rude when I presented it to them and after a month they began asking me to show my identification with the card to get the whopping 10% discount. This was after I had spent hundreds of dollars in the store since November. On the last visit I was told if I couldnt shoe my i.d. I couldn't get my 10% discount. I left the i.d. at home,. What a stupid policy. The staff enjoyed denying me the purchase. They made it very obvious hey took pleasure in stressing a customer out who was trying to buy food for their pet. I left this store. On the way out of the store the staff member condescendingly says... "have a nice day" .. was very fed up with all the previously bad treatment by this store staff so I called the nonexistent customer service. No one answers the phone. I called three times and only got voicemail. The next day I get a call from a rude security person. So I am sure this staff members were covering their rear ends because in my voicemail I said they should be fired for being so rude and condescending. I called the redwood city location that day (who were very nice) and the associate said, and I quote, "Sure, come down here we dont make our customers show i.d. fir the discount" end quote. The next week I shopped at Redwood city for food the young girl asked for i.d. for the 10% discount. What nutty policy. I signed up on the internet with their cooperate Headquarter manager and I have to show an I. D for a 10% discount. I am really disgusted by this store. I let her know I will not shop there and wont recommend this to friends. The next day guess who calls. The security telling me not to shop three and I'm trespassed if I do. Bad company. Here is the bottom line. If you complain to their cooperate HQ you are sent to a security not a customer support line and you will be made out as the bad guy, So in other word, they get away with being rude and condescending to the customers. I will not recommend this company to any friends ever again. There are more helpful, customer service oriented stores with real customer service that accepts feed back and criticism and doesnt send you yo the security and turn it around so you are the bad guy. How disgusting. I had the Same multiple bad experiences as the other yelp commenter with not being offered a bag. No hello upon entering the store and no thank you for spending my money there. This store is the worst.

I had the most amazing experience the other night at this location. Somebody had abandoned a dog where I work and I brought him to the dog wash and the staff helped me get the pup cleaned up and were so helpful with all of my questions. They made sure I was grabbing the best products to help me get situated and gave me tips on making introductions to my dog at home. It was close to closing time and the employees named Michael, Alyssa and Angelique all were so nice and made my experience all so smooth and helped me... I am for sure now only a pet food express customer as I was so impressed with my experience.

I'm surprised this location has such great reviews as I have experienced terrible customer service every time I have entered. Despite there being 4 staff members there today, I was never greeted. It has been the same on previous occasions. I am never asked if I need assistance. The last two times, the same young male cashier has helped me. I have a bag in my basket and he basically ignores the bag, leaves all my items on the counter/in basket and checks me out without a word other than to tell me my total. I am sorry. I find this incredibly rude. Today I asked if they don't bag anymore as I am juggling my dog, the payment terminal and trying to bag my items all at the same time. All he said is only if he is asked. Is this the new PetFood Express policy?! This isn't a location I want to frequent any longer. Why support poor customer service and a disinterest in helping customers in a retail setting?

I was BEYOND impressed with the customer service at Petfood Express in Belmont!! I kick myself for not supporting them earlier in my pet years. I've been a cat owner my whole life and a newly dog mom as well. The staff are very knowledgable helpful, and personable. I've inquired about the Pet Washing station and they said they were willing to support (but they cannot put hands on the animal, which is so understandable) in my first dog bath! Its rare to have such great customer service in retail stores these days. The Pet Food Express store really exceeds my expectations, everytime. I really hope the manager of this store reads my Yelp review because their staff are gems. THANK YOU!

I went to the Belmont Pet Food Express looking for a particular brand of frozen food for our finicky cat. The website said there was 1 container available but it was gone by the time I got there. An extremely helpful and delightful employee named Mariah offered to call other stores in the Bay Area to locate the food. Unfortunately there is none available in the Bay Area. Instead she offered a few alternatives from the same brand that she said we might want to try with our cat, and almost unbelievably, she didn't even charge me for them. What an amazing employee Pet Food Express has in Mariah. She is an absolute treasure and one of the reasons I will always return to Pet Food Express.

Love!!!!! love, love this place!!! from the moment you enter the store the staff is the best there is in the area. They are pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly!!! I truly enjoy my visits/ and washing my 15yr old English Cocker Spaniel. Thank you!!
