This review is for thePropane Service. Today is the second time I was unable to get propane. Arrived at 10 am and was told there was no one there who knew how to,pump propane . They told me to come back at noon. Since I live in asan Bruno, I was unable to do that so I-went to 24-7 on Westborough. The service is better but the cost is $1.00 more per gallon A month ago I went to Uhaul to try to get propane on a Monday and was told they were out . I would call before you go to Uhaul and hopefully they answer the phone.

I showed up with a reservation. This lady lady from the picture told me that there's no truck the size I reserved. I asked her to issue me a $50 guarantee credit. She said she can only give me that credit if I pick up a truck from another location. I told her I don't have a ride there and demand a credit so I can use it for next time. She then told me the credit can be issued by the manager and the manager is not on site. Why can you issue a credit when I can pick up at another location, and not able to do that for my future rental? I asked her to call her manager and she refused to do that. Later she cancelled my reservation without my confirming. Very rude and unprofessional.

For the moment I walk in everyone's try to help me!! We did set up the appointment for the next day, so came at my appt and all works very fast and easy, once Returned the vehicle just drop the vehicle give them the keys and thats it! All online and by email!! That was the easiest and best service ever have for a rental!.Thank you!!

Dino went above and beyond to create a box to fit a very difficult to pack item. His help and extra time solved a very challenging packing/shipping issue. I highly recommend him!

When I got to the center was told it would take much longer than I was originally told (6 hours) because there were too many cars booked. I told them I didn't have a ride home and needed to wait and they told me that wasn't possible as they have no place to wait (even though I signed up for that originally). So I took an Uber home for $30. Got a call 1.5 hrs later that they had finished, just as I got home - ugh. So I took an Uber back for $30.The staff was pretty rude when I asked if they could make sure if I was getting the warranty. They refused to check and told me tgat I'm getting what I'm getting- luckily warranty was on the bill, but Wally's it have been that hard to confirm for me? Then they ridiculed me implying I should just be grateful that they did the work for me. Stay away!!! There are other better places to get a hitch installed.

I rented a small truck and charged for the $47. Returned the trick after a total 12 miles, got charged another $74. Guess they just need some extra money from every customer.

Check to make sure they're not overcharging you for propane. Cashier tried to charge me for 1.9 Gallons, that's just about double what it should have been. I brought in a 5lb tank which by volume can only hold 1.2 gallons of propane. I should add the tank wasn't empty when I brought it so even less available volume to be filled. Little homie said we always put a little extra. Well you literally cannot, certainly not 0.9 gallons more, that's what the Over Pressure Device valve is for. Anyway talked him down to 1.2 gallons, but still was overcharged. Left a bad taste in my mouth both the experience and the reminder that our schools have failed us; 0.9 is almost 1 so NOT just a little more.

There wasn't a qualified personnel on site to pump propane. Four staff inside building!! Terrible for a Saturday morning.

How does this place stay in business? I went in to purchase a couple dozen moving boxes. I waited at the counter. There were four people behind the counter, three completely idle. Finally, one of the fellows motioned me forward. I told him the kind of boxes I needed and he simply pointed toward one side of the store. I went to that part of the store and searched for the boxes. Couldn't find them. The counter guy saw me searching. I yelled "Where are they? No response. Now all four guys were idle and not a single person came out from behind the counter to help. I searched a bit longer, then walked out, went directly to Home Depot, and bought what I needed. I won't step foot in this store again.

I have to say, this was one of the smoother U-Haul transactions I've had. I've used U-Haul in the past, and when booking through the website, I've come to expect issues coming up day-of or day-before. As per usual my reservation was changed the night before picking up to this location; but luckily it worked out.Raiden helped me out with my rental agreement and was efficient and chill. He was knowledgeable with my questions, and remained calm when a previous customer interrupted our interaction by complaining about not understanding how to use the U-Haul app and thrusting their phone towards him. When the customer left, he apologized to me for understanding. 5 stars for having to deal with nonsense like that.On the dropoff, Roderick was equally as awesome, as I had forgotten my personal house keys in my truck and he brought them back to me as I was leaving. Again, 5 stars for being kind, understanding, and for saving me an afternoon of having to re-trace my steps to where I could've lost my keys.

Customer Service - not there, at least from girl who has an attitude. I say if she does not want to work in Customer Service then she needs to leave. My husband was polite, asked about price of small boxes and she pointed to the sign and said "there's a sign" and with attitude. UHaul in San Mateo/Belmont, CA needs a change of employees if they have an attitude and do not like working in Customer Service.

After renting from this location for atleast 15 years. I am done. The management and the desk workers are the rudest folks on the peninsula. I left with them giving me the finger and cursing at me in front of other customers. Please get rid of this really poor team.

You can't speak to the people there. So go there with your propane tanks and risk 1) sorry, but no one here is qualified to fill propane or 2) our equipment is not working or 3) whatever- not today. The Redwood City location is ten times more reliable for propane.

For the most part of the rental the service was great until I dropped off on 8/3. It was explained to me that if I fill Up to 1/4 tank I get a credit for $36 and the young lady who helped mentioned for every line filled is about 1 gallon. I drove a total of 13 miles since it was a local move. Filled up 3 gallons just to get it to 1/4 tank and honestly thought I was being generous. when I dropped off they didn't credit me because it was just under the 1/4 tank line..are you kidding me. It was very inconvenient for me to even go to the gas station and I'm assuming that uhaul gives credit so they don't have to fill up the tank. They basically gave me credit and matched dollar for dollar for the 3 gallons I paid at the end of the day I might as well have not gassed up the truck. And the lady even mentioned with a sarcastic tone "well how much did you pay for gas" I explained you guys gave me credit for as much gas I put in the tank so now customers are basically taken advantage of so you don't have to go get gas? IGiving a customer a truck with 1/8 fuel left is terrible service and asking them to bring it back with just under 1/4 tank and not crediting them is even worse. I'm not sure who the general manager is but I've aways gone through Uhaul for my moving needs and even my tow hitch needs. I will no longer support a company who employs this type of attitude and who doesn't care about its customers. On a side note, I tried calling this place before actually going into the store, and the wait time for someone to pick up the line was over 1 hour so I decided to just go to the store since I live about 1 mile away. I was surprised to see that there were about 5 employees behind the counter doing what looked like absolutely nothing. 2 were on their phone. Please corporate uhaul look into this location because your company is losing so much money employing these people.

They don't answer the phone in store, even if there are no customers and just 3 employees sitting around. So it forwards to UHaul corporate. That alone should tell you something about how this place is managed. Not all UHaul locations are like that. I had a reservation for this morning for a tow dolly. All kinds of plans made around getting that, buying a car, etc. Stopped in yesterday at the Belmont store to confirm things, was assured they had the dolly for me and it would be OK. This morning, about an hour before I was to pick it up, they canceled it and moved the reservation to a different store, in San Francisco. Everyone keeps talking about their 100% Guarantee, but it seems like a Seinfeld episode. Two stars since the guy in store who helped me when doing my pre-flight check seemed knowledgeable and helpful. If only they let those guys pick up the phone.
