Book Stores, Toy Stores
Bookshop Benicia is a great local bookstore, a classic and wonderful shop vital to the community. It is a beautiful, sweet, small shop in a gorgeous area, worth making a day of it. As one of the last of a dying breed, it is as local as it gets. The store has a wonderful selection of books, including children's books, and carries books that are a little harder to find elsewhere. It also offers toys, games, puzzles, and unique book accessories. The staff is fabulous, extremely helpful, and happy to assist in finding the right book; they answer the phone and can order books that arrive quickly. The shop hosts great book clubs to meet new people. While inventory is limited compared to large corporations, the prices are the same. Supporting this shop means supporting the local community. Customers are encouraged to use libro.fm for audiobooks to benefit the store. For anyone who likes to read, play games, or find a thoughtful gift, this is a must-visit and the best bookstore around the area.
