Raley's has proudly served the Benicia community since November 2, 1983. While the checkout process can be slow at times, the staff at Raley's are described as extremely thoughtful and helpful, especially in the self-checkout area. The butcher, meat, seafood, produce, bakery, and deli departments are praised for having excellent staff members who are friendly and go the extra mile for customers. The wine steward is particularly great at curating brands and sharing her expertise. Although Raley's is considered pricey compared to other stores, it offers a wide variety of specialty flours. Overall, Raley's provides a mixed experience, with some customers finding it a reliable option while others feel the prices and service can be hit or miss.
A last minute decision to host an Easter brunch had me scrambling to find a fresh fruit tart for our first course. Raley’s had two—which worked perfectly for me. Staff and employees were stellar. They are not trained properly which is not their fault. Prices too high. Staff over worked and under paid. But customer service is second to none. Staff is in no way to blame for short comings.

They never have everything I'm looking for but they are definitely better than Safeway!
