The property is walking distance to all of downtown, with walkability to an array of accommodations, tons of restaurants, fun bars, artisan shops, walking tours, and walking trails. Rooms are very clean, fully stocked, cozy, and spacious, often featuring wonderful Victorian pieces and lovely art prints. Some rooms offer great views overlooking the Carquinez Strait, the water, and the distant bridge, with some having a private balcony. Guests note the rooms can look a bit dated and some windows need repair. The beds are firm, but some can squeak. Rooms have no air conditioning but portable units are available on request. Amenities include a mini fridge, complimentary bottled water, coffee, and a soaking tub in some rooms. The staff and innkeepers are consistently described as very friendly, helpful, exceptional, and attentive.
