Alembique Apothecary is a unique makers apothecary located in west Berkeley, California. It is a magical, old-fashioned apothecary promoting herbal wisdom in the modern world and is considered one of the Bay Area’s special places. This fantastic shop is a place of healing and camaraderie with a very welcoming and knowledgeable staff. The owner is passionate about healing, has a kindred spirit, and is incredibly knowledgeable and kind.
The apothecary is happy to share what is known about plant medicine. The owner will spend time explaining how herbs in various forms, such as many teas, can address specific concerns, offering guidance for a possible remedy. This can include help for issues like parasites or simply boosting the immune system. He also offers consultations to determine what herbs to prescribe, ensuring they do not have a negative effect on existing medicine. Everything is high quality, well-researched, and includes items like a great lip balm, a lovely facial serum, soap, and delicious honey from rooftop hives.
It is a lovely hidden gem and a wonderful place to stop, even if just curious. Visitors can sign up for upcoming workshops through the website. The apothecary is currently closed until November 26, 2024, and reopens November 27 with regular hours from 11 AM to 5 PM, Tuesday to Sunday. For pick-up orders, place an order via text or email, pay online or by cash, and collect from the Secret Magic Box 24/7 with a code.

what a magical mystery shop this place is! i always wish apothecary’s would be like this and they so rarely are. I could spend hours talking to B. got some great tea blends and talked herbs for quite a while. the rose balm is bomb. yes i did.
