This is one of those fully stocked vintage clothing stores. I mean, they have a lot of clothing. The way this store is currently designed is kind of interesting. Some may even call it a bit strange, as it is broken up into two separate locations. One of their stores is a main storefront on Telegraph Avenue. Here you will find the women's clothing. There are rows and rows of it, so there is a lot to look through. Their second location, where they sell men's clothing, is next door where the Cal Shop is. You enter through the Cal Shop and then you go upstairs. FYI: The stairs are over to the left of the entrance. Here you will also find tons of clothing options. This is truly one of those shops where if you are looking for particular style of clothing you can probably find it. The prices at this business are very reasonable. They have a wide variety of clothing, all of which are good quality. The staff here don't bother you as you're looking around. So, if you want to shop in peace, this business is for you. Overall, this is probably (currently) the best vintage clothing store in Berkeley. They've offer a lot of options for a very good price.

The best place to sell your clothes. You won't make bank, as in it's still a very small amount you'll get. But it's better than Crossroads or Buffalo.

Literally called to confirm if the store was open before driving all the way out here to berkeley from the city because the hours are so inconsistent and lo and behold I show up and am told the buyer just isn't even in today like what??

The staff is not trained. One is fake with high pitch voice then turns to a co-worker as her real self. Entertaining. They eye ball a box of clothes and make up an offer without specifying what costs what.

SELLER BEWARE! Low balling! This review is for the Pleasant Hill store. I was offered less than $5 for a pair of unworn black Levi jeans and I saw comparable jeans selling on their rack for at least $20. I believe at least offering 30% of your retail price is fair. I also brought in an unworn London Fog winter jacket with a padded lining insert that retails for $50 and I was offered less than $10. Disappointing.

I visited yesterday and found a pink harley davidson t-shirt that was perfect for me and only $14. I kept browsing and found one other shirt and was happy so i decided to head over to check out. The woman at the cash register was anything but friendly, and obviously hates her job. Right as i walked up to the register she told me she was unable to sell me the harley shirt because it was priced incorrectly. So, you mean to tell me that an employee saw the shirt, priced it, and then put it out for sale and nobody thought twice about it being the wrong tag? None of their policies state anything about not being able to sell an item marked incorrectly. That is your mistake, not mine, so why should I, the customer, have to face the consequence? Super disappointing because I have visited this shop plenty of times, but this experience makes me want to never return.

there was a sale, i grabbed a jacket for $8 and the employees told me they couldn’t sell it to me because there was “no way” it was that cheap. the tag was obviously brand new and untouched (paper wasn’t even remotely crinkled) but they insisted that it had been “tag switched” and that they can “always tell when people try to steal”. also their clothing selection is mid idk why i didn’t just walk 2 mins further down to mars

Very upset. I spent 2 hours in this store and came out with one thing, a pair of vintage overalls that were PERFECT! They fit me amazing and we're exactly what I've been looking for years. I go to the register and they take them away from me because they don't have a price tag. I thought they were joking at first but nope they were serious. They said someone else who wasn't in the store had to price them at a later time/date. They don't know when this will be. They also wouldn't hold them for me because they said once it's priced it goes back on the floor. I'm so sad because they fit me so good and we're the perfect staple to my closet. I'm gonna try to go back next week and see if they are out yet/not bought. If not and they have no answers for me then I'm never coming back unfortunately..... I think that policy is really stupid and is a sure way to push out customers who have $$ and willing to pay !!!!! Who has gone to pay and told they can't buy something because it's not priced ???? Idiotic.

Of all the thrift stores that buy clothes in Berkeley/Oakland, Anastasia consistently buys the most from me. I don't bother selling to any other thrift stores because they'll take 1-5 items, and Anastasia will take closer to 80% of my pile. They're quick and rarely have a line to sell. I've never had a bad experience here.

Bought a few items. Walked out the door, showed a shirt to my GF and daughter, they noticed an armpit stain that should have been obvious to me but it looked like someone had used hydrogen peroxide or something. Disgusting looking. I took it right back, showed it to them, and they pointed to a sign I never saw that said used clothing items are final. This is in the Men's side, the old guy working was a jerk and the girl that sold it to me looked disappointed in him as the shirt with armpit stains is obviously unacceptable. He tried telling me it was "vintage", vintage armpit stains for sure. Anyways, for a customer that's spent hundreds of dollars as a patron of their establishment over the last year, I'm disappointed. I left the armpit stained shirt with them, which they probably put back on the shelf (oops, maybe I should have given it to a homeless person instead). Anyways, lame. I understand a no return policy but to have a customer walk out the door and turn around and bring it right back is just terrible. I'm not going there anymore. Have fun with your business. Peace.

This store is sorry asf....looks nothing like the pics...dirty inside boxes everywhere smells....like feet and Fritos....the staff needs to look more professional and better attitudes....no hello can we help except the guys at the door very sweet he said hello and ty...much appreciate...just because of him he gets the one star... the reason why I do not like this store. I took my four daughters to go shopping there we came all the way from Tracy to go look at the store.... I did not know their policy that there was only one to a dressing room. These are all teenage girls so you know they don't listen, but anyways they try to trying on clothes so this one boy in the yellow shirt again needs to look professional no hello with his little snotty ass attitude. Told me that my daughter needs to get out of the dressing room. I said fine. She's getting dressed so he tried to open the door and I said excuse you she is a under age girl so stop trying to open the door teenagers will take their time I told my daughter you need to get out of there she said yes mom I am I said OK, so then maybe about two minutes later my daughter was still in there trying to get dress a lady... came up, knocking on the door, and then she tried to open it again I told her don't do that my daughter is getting dress don't worry she's not going to steal anything if that's what you think and she goes what you need to get her out of there. I said she'll get out of there calm down it's not that serious shade she is not going to steal nothing from you guys. She wouldn't leave it alone then she try to open the door that's that's what made me mad and I said these are under age girls that you are sitting there trying to open the door I got upset I started yelling at them. I said stop doing that they are coming out then I yelled at the other girls don't buy nothing from them. I can't believe that they're at doing this, then the owner came out with his unprofessional... I was literally gonna buy these nice little pants they had they were $60. Didn't mind that my daughter love them but I said my daughters are not going to steal secondhand clothing from you so you need to stop and stop trying to open these doors why these under age kids are in the dressing room I am present as the parent so you don't need to worry after that little altercation I left... I will never go there again then I want a couple of doors down. Very respectful, said hello how can I help you everything very nice and I said you're better than those people two doors down they said yes we know.

Avoid. Extremely overpriced Shein clothes. They have a terrible return policy. The workers are incredibly rude. Overall terrible shopping experience every time I go in here.

The staff was the meanest I've ever experienced my whole life...passive aggressive, the cloths are overpriced. The store feels very white, in general a bad vibe walking here as a poc . Staff was publicly accusing/ talking shit about customers and definitely make people uncomfortable. Never come back again, don't recommend.

Really nice store - clothing and other items are organized by type and color. The store is clean, the items are of good quality, and the staff was nice and professional. There are about 5 dressing rooms, with a staff person who unlocks them as needed. Will definitely be returning.
