I love Arlene’s, the people are so nice, she is so nice! I brought in some pants for tapering, and they did exactly what I wanted in less time than they said for a reasonable fee. Thank you so much and I will always highly recommend them.

LUXURY ITEM RUINED -- I am a longtime resident and professional in Elmwood. I went to Arlene's to dry-clean a black polyamide turtleneck by THE ROW, which I bought at Saks for $690.00, and received a mess. The dry-cleaner scraped the front of the shirt across the breast so that the material was raw and destroyed. They also pricked the material in two separate places, creating two pulls on the front of the top. It is now unwearable. This top was worn and dry-cleaned only once, resulting in this level of damage. When I asked for the value of the item (see PDF receipt attached), I was told to come back in 5 days later, when the owner would be present. I will update this post when I meet the owner and hopefully resolve the issue. I'm requesting the value of the item. Deeply disappointed.

Had great experiences for a while, but the last visit was a disaster. They probably didn't wrap the buttons properly and many buttons were ruined for 7 shirts/dresses I sent. I think they even changed some broken ones without telling me when I picked up. Very disappointed.

Arlene's Cleaners is resting on the reputation of the previous owner! Totally dishonest people work there now! The worker helped me remove cufflinks from my shirt and complimented them. And then she scooped them up while we were looking at stains on my other two items. I left notes on the door because they closed right after and there was no response. Then I promptly called when they were open and asked for them she said, "You put them in your bag." I didn't bring a bag. When I picked upmy shirt, she was smiling in an ugly way and also also kept two of my items and only returned the one dress shirt. I was so worried about my missing cufflinks and my dress shirt I didn't notice right away. Just an awful person. When I mentioned the cufflinks. the other worker just gave the phone to her without saying saying anything, because apparently she knew what the employee did (and maybe what she is like). It makes me mad that the positive reviews are very misleading!! You should not have to look over your shoulder with a neighborhood mom and pop business like this!! Why do people who behave like this have jobs??See photo.

I told them I needed a shirt on a certain day and they later called and asked if they could push it back a day because it wasn't ironed yet. I said I needed to pick it up that day either way and they ended up having it ready.

Dropped off a comforter here for repairs! It's older than I am but it's very dear to me so I thought I'd take a shot at getting it repaired. They were upfront on this making it much more expensive, as their seamstress would have to hand-sew each little hole. Their upfront price estimate was accurate, and I ended up paying the exact cost of $60 for repairs and cleaning. I took off a star as the staff were pretty unresponsive after I dropped it off. I didn't receive a call after it had been completed, and I was inaccurately told my comforter wasn't ready to be picked up when it was.

We got my husbands wedding suit tailored here a week before the wedding and they did a great job hemming the length and taking in the back so that it fit him perfectly. I was so stressed out because of course we didnt realize it fit him till the last second. We were able to go in on a tuesday and get it done by friday at 5pm. We've also gotten a few items dry cleaned here and they do a great job. I plan on coming here to get more things tailored. They have a small dressing room so you can get pinned and fitted by their team. Thank you Arlene's Cleaners!

Waited three days for a pair of jeans and a white T-shirt to get cleaned. I picked it up earlier today and I recall explicitly telling the clerk on my first visit that I want everything cleaned, including my tags. I thought it would be pretty obvious that when I take my clothes to a dry cleaner I want EVERYTHING cleaned. This picture shows what I received: I was told by the clerk that it was my fault for not being explicit as to what I wanted despite the fact that i perfectly described the individual who I met with previously and what I wanted. With all of this said, I was offered another resolution which was to wait another three days for the tag to get cleaned which is a ridiculous time frame. Very disappointed now that I paid to get my items cleaned and I still have to do some cleaning.

I brought my Wedding dress filled twigs and dirt in for a cleaning 2 months post wedding. They did great and I felt safe leaving my dress and the process was seamless
