Mixed feelings.. they had done some work to my car and done a good job for a good price. But the other week my car started cutting out, i was going to take to them again but they told me 9.30 and I waited till gone 10am and left tock it to another garage, they did the inspection and work and it was a wire that this garage did not rote properly when doing my timing belt last year that was causing a short. A simple mistake that void of had a very bad outcome.

My experience with Auto Alpina and Norik who is the owner has been great. He inspected My 1987 300E and noticed a problem with the engine mount right away and made sure I fixed that first before moving on to what was not so important next. I like it because this helps me prioritize and really pay attention to what the car needs. My car runs like new!! No BS here, just get it done right. Not the cheapest (but very reasonable) shop in the area but I don't like wasting time/money with a handyman. I would recommend it if anyone needs to fix any old Mercedes. Oh! He is not so good at answering the phone or responding because there are only 2 people there so do not expect an easy call back and please be patient.

A mixed feeling from reading the review before I went. My 1987 W124 e300 having an issue with o2 sensor(nothing major), but I don't want to do it myself. My sensors changed with an original part for a little more money which didn't mind it. The car run much better which I expected but more importantly is I found a shop that I would take my oldie to now. Norik who is a guy of long experiences in Mercedes that talk less, do more. I like the local small 40 years shop and want to see it around for more years!Service: Auto maintenance

Another typical mechanic shop don’t bother. The shop was closed upon my arrival to retrieve my vehicle during business hours after they called me, vehicle towed there, I spent money to travel over 20 miles in a ride share to be charged $300.00 for a battery. Over the phone I explained to the owner/manager he began to yell at me that I was playing games and that he would just take the battery back even though he chose to close leaving me outside on the corner in an unfamiliar setting, phone dying, I was scared that something bad could of happened not to mention paying to go back over 20miles, Just to be told come back.Where is the humanity & accountability? What if this happened to your daughter?

I think Norik may have saved me almost two thousand dollars in unnecessary mechanical work. When I got an estimate from the dealer, Norik seemed skeptical of the diagnosis and suggested a much cheaper ($10) solution first before dumping a ton of money into something that might not have been a real issue. It ended up solving my issue and I was baffled the dealer even suggested such an invasive processes without first trying what Norik suggested.I’m incredibly grateful for his honesty and integrity. He never actually worked on my car - because he didn’t need to! - but he has a loyal customer in the future if and when I do need work.If you’re looking for someone who will give you an honest assessment and just wants what’s best for you and your car, definitely go see Norik.

I am putting this review up for a friend of mine who does not use yelp but he wants to make sure other people are aware of this mechanic's practices. He took his car in for new brake pads and in addition to the mechanic being slow and unresponsive, when he went to get the car he was told that the repair was $1400! It should have been no more than 300. And the mechanic had taken it upon himself to also replace the rotors, leading to a much larger profit for himself. This is a common practice of many dishonest mechanics, and this one is no exception. I would never use a mechanic like this, but if you choose to go here, you have been warned. As a result, my friend paid $1000 more than he should have. If it were me, I would've refused to pay, but my friend just didn't realize what it happened. Anybody who decides to go here is taking that risk, and if you do decide to go here, you should get a quote in writing, with the agreement that nothing besides what is in the quote is performed without prior authorization. This guy is a sleezeball, and one of the people who gives mechanics a bad name.

Realized when looking him up again I never gave a review. The mechanic here is not only trustworthy, but is a mechanical engineer so he understands how your car actually functions, besides how to repair it. This leads to him having insight on what to do without going through a lot of nonsense first like most mechanics. Saves you time and money.

Thank you so much Auto Alpina! They saved me a huge headache with a pre purchase inspection.. I got a call around 1 hour later telling me the timing chain on the Mercedes C230 I was about to buy had a bad timing chain and repairs would be in the upwards of $5000. Free inspections highly recommended.Services: Engine repair

Yes, had to do it! It's me. The guy with the c230 kompressor that called several times to see what the status of my car was after I was scheduled to drop it off in the morning when supposedly they opened. Although, you'll probably be waiting for them to arrive like I did 3x's now. So I finally see Norik and tell him my situation AGAIN, cause he doesn't write anything down or has any kind of system of who's coming in for what reason. He then tells me to buy a MAF sensor cleaner at the auto parts store first to see if that works. Cool! Couldn't you just tell me over the phone rather than telling me to come down and drop it off? No, too easy. So I go ahead and do that and spray the crap out of it and it doesn't work. Call him the following Monday and he tells me to bring it back Tuesday or Wednesday. Again, doesn't write anything down. I come Wednesday morning and of course nobody is there yet and I'm waiting and obviously he doesn't care that I have a job plus a kid to get back to in the morning. Ok, he finally shows up and looks at me and doesn't remember me and asks me what's wrong with your car again? Oh man I'm saying. I'm like you ask me to bring it today to check it out and see what's wrong with it, since the spray didn't solve it. He said, keep it parked where it's at and I'll call you. I'm waiting all day thinking he's working on it of course, but didn't get a call from him about a diagnosis or estimate. Now it's after 6:30, so I called the shop myself. He picks up and tells me that he couldn't get to it today and he'll work on it first thing in the morning and call me by 11AM to give me a update. That morning I'm thinking he's working on it and it becomes 12PM and no call. Now I have to call him again. Hey there it's blah blah did see what's going on with my car? I haven't got a chance to work on it yet, but I'll call you soon. Now it's after 3. I call back again and the other shop guy answered and tells me he's on lunch. So I asked that guy if they worked on my car yet. He's says I don't think so. Then I tell him fine, I need my car and I'll pick it up today cause it seems like the shop is busy and I'm done getting a run around. Now it's after 6:00 and no word from Norik. I call again and the same guy answers and tells Norik it's the guy with the kompressor. He gets on the phone and tells me there's a vacuum leak we're checking it out now. Ok I said, what the estimate on that? He said ughhh like $1000. Then I mentioned, I'm looking to get a new car soon, if it's that much then no. He then said well maybe we can try doing it for $500. Ok, you have no idea! I said, I need my car for the weekend and you've had it over 2 days now without looking at it. He said you can come and grab it and bring it back Tuesday. I'm like why not Monday? If you're busy just be honest and I can happily take it somewhere else. He said, I have tons of keys back there and Monday is pretty busy. Im thinking, he has no system and just works on what can do first and just keeps your car there until he gets to it. He doesn't care about his customers daily lives and that they need their car. Bottom line. I took it somewhere else and had it back in 4 hrs with No Vacuum leak and under $500. Norik never looked at my car. It was in the same spot off the street in the back where I dropped it off myself 2 1/2 days ago. The parking spot would've been taking up by another car if he moved it and looked at it. He lied!! DON'T GO HERE!
