Coming from Bank of the West. Nothing works. Not the app. Not online banking. There's a 15 minute wait on the phone. My branch is now just an ATM. This Bank sucks.

Ever since the merger with Bank of the West in September, this has been a terrible experience. Terrible phone system, bad app that closes without warning, and 2 weeks ago a bunch of money disappeared from my accounts. True this could happen anywhere and they did recoup the money, but what does that say about their security? Not happy. Moving on for sure. I feel bad for the folks at the local branches, they’re good people and with bank of the west behind them, a good experience. They’ve had to deal with a bad transition too.

AVOID THIS BANK--unless inconvenience is your thing. Bank of the West will constantly thwart your transactions and hold your accounts when you do online banking.I'm a student at Berkeley. I rate 2 stars because the staff in the bank and on the phone were patient and kind. But I'd never recommend a bank that recently put my bank account on hold just because I scheduled a transfer and then decided to cancel it. The app told me to call the customer service, which then passed the buck to the branch. This isn't my first such visit. Also, sending money using Zelle was unreasonably slow (for days), and not always successful. Seek another bank if you want less trouble.

They are actually very nice! I had an account 3years ago but can’t find the card and came to look it up. It is a of trouble but they are very patient and helpful.

this is the worst place to have an atm or a bank at the basement of a building. There should be more information to indicate where the atm is located that way people can see exactly where it is instead going up and down the street looking for the location.

I had to come 4 times in order to open a checking account. I'm international, so I understand that the first time I didn't come with proper documentation. The second time I came, they lost my application...The third time they requested my SSN for verification purposes which they could have asked earlier. I wasn't able to deposit money in the account for some reason, so I had to come a fourth time.

Worst bank experience ever. Told account opening would take 2 hours took 2.5 days. Debit card took over 2 weeks to arrive they don't issue them on the spot. Made it clear I needed to pick it up as moving house, they assure me it would wait there for me to pick up. I moved house and changed my address with them. Went back in to confirm if it was ready for pick up, still not ready. Came back again and turns out they sent it in the end and to the wrong address. Always massive line and the staff are slow. Did not explain anything about the account or how to set up online banking etc. Terrible
