I had went here before and there was an amazing front office worker named Oscar who thoroughly explained things and was professional aboout each interaction they had. However, this time when I went there was another indivual in the front office who was very uninfromative and nonchalant. Do not go to this auto shop for services through your insurance. Like many autoshops they will capitalize on this. Repairs were not explained, papaers was only asked to be signed. I had to ask them to explain repairs to me. For me as a business professional thisis a major red flag. THis business should be reviewed for SOPs. Use all the cultural capital and support you have if you fod go to this shop to best defend yourself against bad business practices. Overall my services were tended to but teh way in which it was done was not professional which still leaves skeptisim in my head about the quality of work that was done. Support a female owned auto body shop in Oakalnd instead : Uptown Body & Fender - Auto Body Shop and Collision Repair in Oakland. The owner is wonderful and has a great attitude. Check here for an appointment here for quality and fair work with transparency. They often are busy but its well worth it if you have the privelage to wait out your repairs.

It was really easy... they gave a good price quote and then ordered the parts, during which time I could still use the car. Then, a week later, with a scheduled appointment, they took the car and turned it around in a week, and it looked and felt like new. They also did me the favor of removing the obsolete commute stickers. My calls for updates were answered promptly. Altogether, it was pleasant dealing with Berkeley Auto Body, and they are now my first choice.

I have used this shop twice and will recommend it to everyone. It is a warm family business which cares for the client as well as the car. When the car is returned it is absolutely spotless inside and out. The repairs make the car look brand new and they stand behind their work. I had a special interaction this time. I got a call telling me that when they took the seats out to clean up the glass from the break in, they found an envelope under one seat with money. They locked it up until I could come for it. The thieves never found it because it fell through the crack between the seat and the console.

Came here through Geico referral - they aligned to the Geico estimate (another shop had said it would cost double!), and found a way to work around a manufacturer part delay, saving me time and money. The work was excellent and seamless. This was my first body work needed, and car came out looking as good as ever.

50 days that's right it's been 50 days since my car accident after calling to find the status of the repair I was placed on hold for over a half hour then transferred to a general mail box that was full and then hung up on. When I attempted to call back.. you guessed it straight to the mailbox. I'll be contacting the insurance company about finding a different body shop.

Had insurance repairs done here. Everyone was friendly and courteous and they did a great job in a reasonable time frame. Discovered after I got it back that the front wiper fluid wasn't working, gave them a call and they had me bring it by immediately and fixed it in a few minutes (hoses swapped). Again, everyone was friendly and courteous. To me, making it right is more important than never making a mistake, I would bring my car here again for body work.

I went in for an estimate on my vehicle and the owner, Henry, helped me. Right away I was turned off, something seems off about the place. Their estimate was higher than everyone else I went too. So if you're looking for collision repair, go somewhere else. Really disappointed because I was referred by a friend who used to work there.

This place is amazing! I got on accident on monday, was able to take an appointment with them on tuesday and dropped the car on wednesday morning. When I told them I was leaving the country the next monday; they figure out to repair my car in 2 days! To EVERYONE out there: DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS HERE! This place is one of the best...at ripping you off! My car was towed there after a brutal accident where I was injured. While my insurance company negotiated the removal of the car (as this place apparently charges WAY more for daily storage fees, which is part of their racket), the owner had decided that moving my car daily to and from a metered parking spot ON THE STREET was also the best way to proceed. Since they NEVER FED THE METER, I got multiple parking tickets, too. When I asked them to cover those costs, they refused. So, yeah - this place is run by a bunch of JERKS who care nothing about you and only about how they can jack up your bill and make money off you. Because, see...they have to depend on a continual flow of customers, since they all will be one-time customers, as nobody in their right mind would go BACK here to be abused and taken advantage of a SECOND time. Just look at some of the other reviews up here, as there are MANY that talk about how bad these people run their business, and how bad the service is. And so is it any surprise that I too have additional complaints to pile on? There are so many bad reviews that's it's been suggested by other reviewers that this place just HAS to be posting FAKE positive reviews, since nobody who has actually dealt with this business would say anything remotely positive, as they are bunch of shisters. I would have to wholeheartedly agree. Last: BEWARE on telling any tow-truck driver to tow your car here. Honestly, they must be giving kickbacks to some of the AAA drivers in the area, as the guy who towed my truck was the one who suggested I have my car towed here in the first place. It ended up being totaled out, so they did NOTHING helpful for me at all, and it ended up costing me hundreds of dollars more - just for the overpriced storage fees (meaning: they are not aligned with their industry, and are ripping people off) and the parking tickets THAT THEY GOT ON MY CAR! It's truly unbelievable a place like this has not been shut down already. Time to contact Better Business Bureau, the city of Berkeley, and the State of CA to see what can be done here. This place needs to close, so they cannot continue to financially hurt other customers like they did to me. WITH SO MANY OTHER AUTO BODY SHOPS IN BERKELEY, JUST DON'T GO HERE. That's the best advice you will read today - trust me.

Years ago I went to this shop and they bold face lied about damage to a car on their lot. Over the last 2 decades I have heard nothing but complaints from fellow neighbors about their poor quality and horrible customer service. Save yourself, stay far away!
