My two kids have absolutely loved the years they spent at BHNS. All the teachers are deeply effective, nurturing, and invested. They cultivate a tight-knit classroom and family community. I'm grateful to have this gem in Berkeley and I would highly recommend BHNS.

About Berkeley Hills Nursery School
Our cozy little school in the Berkeley Hills is now scheduling visits for individual families with children who will be 2 years, 9 months of age by September 1. Tours take place most weekday mornings, so get in touch if you would like to see our treehouse-like school and our experienced and caring teachers in action. As we move out of the pandemic our focus is to help young children feel comfortable and settled in a group environment and have the opportunity to practice and develop their interpersonal skills before heading off to elementary school. Self-advocacy, kindness and empathy are also important elements of Kindergarten readiness along with (playful!) explorations of pre-literacy and math skills.
