As a first time lehenga shopper, they were very helpful and patient - not to mention they turned around some small alterations within 30 mins of purchasing (I got lucky that their seamstress was in on a day she wasn’t supposed to be, but regardless the customer service is unmatched!). Definitely check them out if you need to do some last minute shopping.”

“Came for the antique lace, stayed for the best sewing store I have ever been in. They have notions for every niche textile art in existence and lots of books. The staff is very knowledgeable. Lots of hard to find items like coutil and corsetry hardware, millinery supplies and feathers, bobbins and lace making supplies, and specialty needles. I was able to get some hard to find curved needles. They also have many vintage laces and textiles for sale and a modest stock of modern textiles suitable for historical costumery. Large selection of lace of course! I was shocked and awed by this store and will definitely visit again the next time I'm in Berkeley. Gem!!”

We found an engagement ring with a setting we loved and the owner helped us source a different center stone because we had our hearts set on a green sapphire in the same shade as a center stone from another ring in the store. The entire shopping experience was personalized and relaxed. The owner Rada is a wonderful resource, knows her gems, is transparent, and cares about sustainable practices.
