I specifically avoided making an appointment here because of the negative reviews. However, I ended up being sent here from another branch because the banker I had an appointment with called out and I had needs to take care of. Should have trusted my initial gut. Regretted the whole experience.

This review is for the Telegraph Ave location that doesn't have a Yelp page. If you are trying to deposit money past the closing time you're SOL as they don't seem to care about customers outside of regular business hours. They can't even maintain a working access point for customers so what other shortcuts and or lazy tactics do they take.

While setting up my "Complete" business checking and savings account, as well as business credit and debit cards. I had excellent service, precise, helpful, and efficient from Ms. Minu Shreshtha. I highly recommend her. I also feel safe using the ATM inside and have had nothing but polite, helpful service from everyone else at this bank. After searching around for quite a while for the best bank for a business account and cards, it was refreshing that the biggest bank around is so appropriate. For personal accounts, I'm very satisfied with my local credit union.

Since I don’t see any change in diversity… this place deserves one star…The employee is Fatuo Kasse [black below average looking 2/10 female, her office is like executive office while others just furnished a table and few chairs] or something close to this. I come to open a business account and a checking account. When I make appointment I feel something odd already when the name popped up, but now they must figure it out how is the best player on the field. [I wasn’t in my good mood during this time after a year depressed and anxious about my schooling and stuff, so I didn’t even have energy to think and fight back. ]She opens my account, but my account gets suspended a day after is the first red flag (turning out she looks into my informations, changed it while transfer the real information to use as their form of security or use for their own gain). For example: after my account gets suspended, they use their trick to force the brand reopen for me after filter all the right information to use for their own. I got a call from her letting me know I can use my account after a week or so delay (while she and her people dig deep to scrap any thing they could because why think to act while the other do the thinking part). This is a fun part: my business now is moved to outside of the US and don’t do domestic business (which is wrongful because I told her otherwise when we open my account) and because of that she gave me cashier check and I can’t withdraw my own fund out of the account but I have to “remit” the fund. Later, I checked the dark web and they even put the business to Afghanistan… without my connection to the highest government agency, I would get in trouble with the authorities because my business doesn’t look correct especially they wrongly input wrong information in order to… I still don’t know what their motive… if stupidity or lazy to think is one. I’m not surprise. Now you know how I hate those people so much!Since she opened my account, the place hired more people like herself, and because I can use banking again. I have to pay back debt. One day, I woke up having a Chase collection branch that affiliated to Amazon that I had been using their card. They asked me to come to the bank and pay for the amount I owned them. I brought some cash there to pay, and the banker (also Black) lied to me that they refuse to accept my payment because my account has red flag or it’s “done” (I don’t know what’s done to them). They separate the relationship with me the the affiliate brand by even saying “we don’t do business with “them”??!” You see when you give wrong chance to wrong people…I even come there the second time because they keep calling me for paying the fee I own and the branch keeps refusing my payment.I think the management needs to fire all of those black employees… Asian clients and white Clients please don’t let those employees to open your account because until this point I don’t have their motive to do that yet… but for those who lazy and wait other to bring food to the table… I’m not surprised that they would do that for their own benefit. She even overrides my right to put wrong income into my income bracket: “you didn’t make that much.” The worst moment I ever had with banking was when the first day I experienced homeless… I come there tried to talk to her… “I don’t know you…” then the (black) manager comes there called the police to asked me out… I never be able to come there again because of I am Asian? My voice is unheard or because of what? Please stay away from anywhere you see those types of employees.I want the whole world look at my story as an example…

Unfortunately, I had a really bad experience at this Chase branch. I had an appointment at 11.30. I was on time, but no one there really helped with me. I have been sitting there for over 20mins until Fatou finished her last customer. I found that she is unprofessional, and she even can't answer some basic questions regarding applying a credit card. She seems a newbee to her position. During meeting, she was also rude and even point at me with her finger saying: "Let me deal with this one first" when another costumer came in to ask something. I was wandering, wt*... Am I a product or something?? I didn't feel respected. This sucks, it has been a month and I can still remember this...

So I wanted to open account with Chase so I caught first to make sure that the type of account that I was going to open would be best to fit my needs I expressed and explained and an ounce of what this account will be used for in the representative informed me that this will be the best account to accommodate the needs of which I was describing so I proceeded and I open two accounts with Chase due to my business I'll deposit it to endorse checks unsure if Chase employees are aware of the endorsement laws nor The exact policy endorsement but it's not illegal to endorse your check to someone else. There was a hold placed on my account which is normal until the funds were available I received a email stating the hold has been removed and my funds was available for use. Dan didn't they most embarrassing thing happened as I went to withdraw money in their machine stated fraud detected so I proceeded to call to see exactly what was the issue the customer service rep did not ever transfer me to someone of the statute in which fraud are handled. She herself went on to inform you that yes the check cleared and everything but they placed a restriction on my account. She proceeded to say she would need some more information to see what department she was to be transferring me to which she never did she went on to tell me that in order to lift this restriction I would need to bring in that third-party so that they could verify who this person is. Being that she's only a customer service rep it was kind of odd to me that she proceeded to disclose this information when she's unable to authorize or to handle the security on this restriction I proceeded and asked her to transfer me to someone of higher authority maybe her supervisor of some sort. And she actually gave me a hard time before transferring me and never Completely transformed the car through. I've called several times and have not been able to get any help the last representative informed me that in 10 days business days my account will be closed out and the funds will be as she stated restricted and will not be issued to me. I've taken the situation as though this bank has been doing this to know more as people and that is considered desk they're stealing peoples money there's nowhere in their private policy that disc should be handled in this a manner. I feel as though I have been profiled as a fraudster but not technically having anything that indicates fraud in this manner. I feel as though I've been robbed I've been taken advantage of and I would not refer anyone to ever bank with Chase Bank. This bank is literally driving people and Embezzling people out people out of their money. I am going to further my case with an attorney because what chase bank is doing to people and taking their money is not right it is a crime that they are committing and they're getting away with it because no one is able to speak up against it

I rarely write reviews both good and bad but I definitely wanted to leave a review after my experience at this branch with Jonathan Kim. He is so attentive and makes sure customers leave with their needs fully met. He worked with us so patiently and was so understanding throughout the entire process. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Nowadays it's really hard to find people who genuinely want to help and Jonathan was one of the very few I have encountered. Thank you so much Jonathan! Ask for Johnathan if you ever come into this branch.

Not a fan on this bank, they're legal actions are questionable use of investor funds.

One of the absolute worst experiences with a bank. My mother recently passed. First, Chase puts a 1 billion dollar hold on the account, once they have been notified of her death. Fine, no problem. But, with COVID, getting her death certificate was a task. Two months later, and several returned item fees due to automatic payments going through, I finally get the death certificate. So, I schedule a meeting at this location for 3pm on a Monday. I put in the reason why I'm coming, "To close out my deceased mothers bank accounts). Mind you, I've closed out three other bank accounts across multiple banks by this point which, have only taken 30-40 minutes tops to process, and everything has been handled same day (The credit union I had to go to had me in at 4pm and out by 4:30pm with all accounts closed and paid out). So, I hand over all of the appropriate paper work, Death Certificate, Certification of trust. All of this has to get sent to legal, the woman helping me is on the phone for 30 plus minutes (I actually hear her tell the person she's on the phone with, no problem, take your time). So, now it's almost 3:30. She has to fill out more paperwork, and email it to the hold department so they can release the ridiculous billion dollar hold. By this time it's 3:45. All of this back and fourth, just so this lady can tell me the hold department closed at 6pm EST, so there's literally nothing they can do until tomorrow morning. So, now, I have to go back, waste probably another 40 minutes of my life, waiting for something that should have been handled very easily, had an employee had any actual knowledge of this process. Again, I specifically put in my reason for coming that I had to close my deceased mothers bank account, and I have all the appropriate supporting documents. Anyone who has any idea on how to do their job, would have noticed that maybe 3pm PST on a Monday isn't a good time to schedule an appointment to close out a deceased persons account, if there's a time frame you have to submit paperwork by. My fiancé is is taking his money out of this bank ASAP. These people have absolutely no idea what they're doing, and offered ZERO apology for making this experience literally the worst. This has already been an extremely hard time dealing with the loss of my mother, and they made it even harder with all they're stupidity on not knowing how to handle these sort of transactions.

If you're thinking of banking with Chase bank I'd look elsewhere. I just paid off a a credit card in an effort to help my credit score and then had my limit slashed by the bank. When I called they had to make ANOTHER inquiry on my credit even though they just made this change yesterday and then refused to reinstate the limit that I've held for years. This is a slap in the face to a customer that has always maintained a good standing with credit and accounts, who has paid interest to this bank and who just paid a large sum of money to them that could have gone elsewhere. Very disappointed and I will be moving my banking elsewhere to a company I can trust and who actually gives a damn about their customers who are giving them business.

These incompetents dishonor their credit card as often as they honor it, paid or not paid, payment due or not due. No matter what you do, they just randomly refuse payment. Their credit card is literally more trouble than it is worth. And then it is literally impossible to reach an actual person by phone or online to get them to unblock the card. Fortunately there is an easy solution to their capriciousness and inaccessibility - use a different credit card company.
