It seems they don't update their Google listing with vacation hours. Drove all the way over here only to find that they were closed the week after Thanksgiving through 12/7. Bummed to have wasted 45 minutes of driving only to still have this chore. Give them a call if you plan to visit.

Christine did a fabulous job with a new, vastly improved chaise lounge cushion, wrapping it with batting to give it a most professional look. We're so lucky to have this shop here.

I looked up Famous Foam Factory on line and when I arrived from Napa the Foam Factory was just like I envisioned it so warm and inviting. Christine while assisting many customers helped me and asked questions with concern on what type of mattress I will need to help me. Christine also suggested a bed frame which would help me sleep better and get off the hard, cold, floor. I was very impressed and I would highly recommend the Famous Foam Factory. Due to Covid the Foam Shop in Santa Rosa has closed down after 50 years, I will refer people from Santa Rosa to Christine in the future.

I went in this store and had 3 pieces of foam I was looking to buy. I had my measurements for one foam and brought in the cushion for the other two. The only person in the store was a middle age woman who was helping another customer. I stood in a safe place so as not to be in her way but still visible. She seemed knowledgeable in this position from what I observed. I got no greeting, no acknowledgment [ as Christine stated in response to other dissatisfied customers]. I believe in supporting small business, women and people of color. While waiting another customer came in, looked at me and sat in a chair in front of me closer to the staff person. I did not think anything of it at the time, giving the sales rep the benefit of the doubt that she would ask me how she could help me. When the staff person finished with her other client, she went direct to the person sitting down to help him. I was fuming at this point and waited to observe their interaction. The guy came unprepared with no sizes and told her, "I am doing this as I go". I have to give the staff credit for putting up with a customer who just drags on and takes up all her time. So I waited and still nothing from the staff person, like a Hello, I see you but this customer came in earlier" or something like that as they seem to have a relationship. I am an elder Latino 69 years old and was standing the entire time just to get some positive interaction and nothing. Rather than throw a fit, which I thought about, I decided to just observe. This staff person clearly lacks overall customer service, I give her an "F" as in Failed. She responded to 2 separate picking phone calls and being courteous to people on the phone that she had "customer's" in the store and she was busy and would call back. This was the closest to be acknowledged as one of 3 individual customers. So, I am not going to support a business that doesn't wants my business. Simple as that. It was the second time I was in the store, and this behavior of not seeing me, or purposely ignoring me for whatever bias she has is unacceptable in Berkeley and elsewhere. I do not want to give her credit for her years of work experience because I did not get that chance to have the glowing customer experience that others write about. Being retired, the only thing I can think of is that this sales representative has been doing the business too long and really is at the point of giving up. Sell the business to someone else and get some new blood in there that will have more than one staff person instead of putting it on yourself. Remember to greet a customer, so easy but not done. Keep customers waiting by recognizing them, so that they don't leave like I did. Not even a wink, acknowledging me. I will find another means to figure out my foam needs but not at Famous Foam Factory which I now will refer as "Unfriendly Foam Factory".

I am so pleased with this great local business. And it looks to be be women owned too! Or, at minimum, woman run. I came in with an old cushion cover that had missing zipper head making it useless as well as the 3 pieces of foam it covered. It was a tiny job, easy to blow off. She was able to find a zipper head in her inventory and install it. And she repaired it and repaired it on the spot! She made it all usable. This saved having to dump the cover and it's three cushions in landfill.

If you need foam right away, and this place happens to be open well then you are at the right place. HOWEVER, I find that the hours can be difficult so do make sure you check ahead of time. I also found it to be quite expensive. But I'm often pressed for time with projects so I continue to patronize this place. I've had custom foam cut for cushions and bought stuffing there. I'm happy to be able to access things same day.

This is a great local business! I had a complicated number of cushions that I needed, and Christine helped me figure it all out, and completed the job flawlessly. She seems to be holding down the whole business herself, so it may take a minute, but it is worth the wait.

I've purchased several items over the past year and all have worked out perfectly. I live in the south west part of San Mateo County, but it's worth a trip to Berkeley for the service and high quality of their products.

I (urban) sc-ored an amazing multi-patterned sofa at Urban Ore. While it's actually in great shape, the down cushions were deteriorating and leaking madly; they were also fully sewn up with no easy opening, and I wasn't sure what to do. Googling brought up Famous Foam, and I swung by. Simply while browsing - and unzipping a few cushions - I was able to find and clarify what I wanted. Christine tuned in right away, suggested new cushion cases with zippers (d'oh, of course!!) to be made by the sewing team they use, and sent me off with a big bag of stuffing for the upcoming cases. I'd requested a rush order due to travel and Christine made the goodness happen, within a week. Responsive practical knowledge and excellent , speedy work; Christine/FFF really came through! New fan forever.

The rating is a 4.9??? My wife and I were the only ones in the store besides the delivery man and we were not even acknowledged. They may have good foam selection but bad customer service.

We replaced the foam on our sectional couch cushions. They did a wonderful job. Great fit and finish and so comfortable - like new!! Highly recommend Famous Foam Factory.
