I didn’t want to write a bad review as they are such sweet ladies but I am at my limit and I don't want anyone else to have to deal with what I did. I have gotten not only one but two toe infections due to this place. I thought the problem was me the first time until I did my research. They cut the cuticles on the toes so aggressively that it starts bleeding and then allows for an infection to happen. And they most likely do not clean their materials in between patients. Getting toe infections is extremely painful and expensive to fix. Not worth the pedicure at all. In terms of manicures, I have not had a full on infection, however, I did have swollen puffy nails afterwards that were very painful for a couple of days. Getting your nails done should be a pampering and relaxing experience, not something where it is hard to walk for a week afterwards.Services: Acrylic nails

The nail salon shaped my acrylics so well, and the service was super friendly and kind. They're really good at shaping almond shaped nails -- very attentive. Love this place -- thanks so much again!

I got the hot stone pedicure and I a good hot stone massage with a detailed pedicure. My feet feel like clouds after this experience. They have several soothing aromatic moments throughout the pedicure process and the hot stone is very muscle intensive. Good for those who work on their feet ALOT. That have several types of pedicures. I'll share the ones I try as I try them.

Love this place. Service is great. I brought my 6 year old in for her first manicure and without asking they offer some complimentary nail art - she was over the moon. I love their pedicures - don't feel rushed there.

They do a great job here. It is best to call and schedule an appointment and please don't be late. They only have a few people on staff so please be respectful of their time.

I got acrylic nails done here and even days later they are absolutely flawless. This is definitely not only the best nail service I've had in my life but also a very affordable one.

Classy Nail Salon in El Cerrito damaged my toenails during a gel pedicure; I have spent the last few months waiting for my toenails to grow back out, and I ended up with ingrown and strangely shaped toenails. Golden Nails & Spa rescued me! No more pain or embarrassment, LOL! They are kind, professional, thorough, efficient, and reasonably priced! I will return.

I have long, natural, and very healthy nails. I almost always have a gel manicure on but because I remove the gel correctly I find that the extra thickness of the polish helps my nails grow long vs. damages them. Unfortunately when I came to Golden Nails in early May (it's now July) they used the machine nail buffer on me instead of buffing by hand (I came in with clean fingers, it's not like they were even removing anything). I was really nervous to let her do it since I wanted to keep them strong/intact but she shrugged me off and said it was fine for natural nails. Fast forward two months and almost all of my nails are breaking halfway up on the pink. It's painful, annoying, and I can't even run my fingers through my hair without hair getting caught in the breaks. Or laundry, or shampoo my hair, etc. I've never had a manicure result in this much damage/pain and I've been trying new places/going to professional spots for like 8+ years. I'm upset because it's been impacting my fingers for two months and I probably have a few months left before all of the damage grows out. Such a shame and I will never return here again.
