Ink Stone is a wonderful local independent art store in DT Berkeley. It is a great art store for quality goods, with really good art supplies including sketch books, and lots of 3d art supplies like clay and foam. It also has everything one might need, including a journal and sketchbook section and architecture supplies. The staff is friendly, very knowledgeable, super nice, and extremely helpful. They provide high quality and fast scans of any blueprints or plans, as well as print jobs like mounted posters with very fast turnaround and super reasonable prices. It is highly recommended, especially for architecture students, as the first place to go for supplies and scans. Support local and independent!
You can get almost everything you need for school here, the staff are nice and helpful, but the price is a bit expensive.

Inkstone has been part of UCB culture since the 1970's. I used them throughout my professional practice. They offer supplies for artists, architects, and students with amazing variety and excellent service.
