3 stars for Ledger's because half the time it's a great experience and half the time I've walked out rolling my eyes and not wanting to give another dollar to them. Glad the younger generation is taking over for pops...
You can find some real gems in here, some of them are ridiculously priced in either direction, but there is zero inventory system and half the time they have boxes of stuff in the back that sits there for years.
I've gone in, asked if they had something, was told no, gone again, and told yes, they have two cases and have for years.
Your Mileage May Vary. I think good things are happening here and perhaps it will be worth visiting again.

I love Ledger's and have been coming here for years. They're the go to liquor store for cocktail lovers in the east bay. They have an amazing selection of all sorts of liquor, and their staff is very knowledgable about it. I recently ordered our wedding liquor through them. They were really helpful in getting the exact brands I requested and organized when I went to pick up the liquor. The wedding cocktails came out amazing!
tl;dr amazing liquor store in the east bay, come if you're opinionated about what you mix in your drinks.

Wow! It’s a library of alcohol! What a selection. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable - and lacking the pretension of places farther up the hill.

Staff was very patient and helpful with grabbing things from the back and providing recommendations. Store feels a like an organized mess but just ask anyone for help and you'll definitely find what you need

They have everything here. They have things you've always wanted to try, things you didn't know you wanted to try, and things that no one ever should try. Every time I go in I end up having a nice conversation with one of the employees and I find something new and interesting (as well as the thing I came for). Do yourself a favor and give yourself time to browse and soak in all the variety for a bit. It's well worth a visit.

I happened upon this place based on another liquor store's recommendation, for a wide variety. I was greeted warmly and surprised with the massive selection. This certainly felt like a family run business and I was treated like such. I can't wait to go back when I have more time.

Very nice and helpful crew. family owned business I believe. They would have gotten 5 stars just for their honest answer when asked about a certain beer id never seen. The guy said he wasn't sure about it yet bc he had a few ppl who hadn't given him their personal review back yet. So he wasn't yet sold on it until he heard back from the ppl. That's genuine right there. He could have lied and said it was best thing since white bread, but he didn't. Kudos for that!
THEY DON'T HAVE DOS EQUIS AT ALL. that's why only 4 stars. Just saying ... lol.
They were awesome otherwise.

Not just another liquor store. Family owned and operated, these guys carry the widest selection of alcohol I have ever seen. If it's made, they probably have it. Everyone is super friendly.
