MacBeath Hardwood is a renowned supplier of high-quality hardwoods and woodworking materials in the Bay Area. Customers praise the business for its extensive variety of exotic woods, including zebrawood, purple heart, and Gabon ebony, catering to the needs of hobbyists and professionals alike. The staff is consistently described as knowledgeable and helpful, guiding customers through the selection process and providing valuable advice. While the prices may be on the higher end, particularly for the more premium wood species, customers acknowledge that this is to be expected for such a specialized and well-stocked establishment. The in-store experience is praised, with ample opportunities to browse the selection, while the phone support is noted as less reliable. Overall, MacBeath Hardwood is a go-to destination for those seeking a superior selection of hardwoods and exceptional customer service in the Bay Area.
I only had 15 minutes to look around because they close at 4:30pm, but what I was able to see looked very good. I'll be sure to visit again, earlier in the day this time.

Macbeath's typically has the best prices in the bay area for hardwood, sheet goods and woodworking tools, finish and more. My salesman MG and my delivery driver Joel always go above and beyond. Highly recommend.
