I went to Marlowe for the first time and it was great. I had a Big Sur pedicure with Phung and gel manicure plus an accent nail with Nguyen. They both did an amazing job! Everyone at the salon was very friendly, and I appreciated the convenience of being able to book appointments on their website. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Love Marlowe!! Took my daughter here to get her nails done for graduation and they are always so sweet, clean and an enjoyable experience. She did the lemonade pedi and gel nails. THANK YOU! We'll be back....

I seen a rat close to the table where my gf got her nails done. the owner was very rude and called me a liar. The nail technicians were talking the whole time. Knowing that there were people waiting and the prices were mental. Any women that goes here shouldnt go there ever again. Thanks allot

We were on vacation, my wife wanted to do a manicure in this place, dirty place, poor material and unpleasant and rude staff, to avoid, bad.
I don't recommend it to anyone.

Chill environment, pretty. But terrible to spend this kind of $$ and come away with polish on my fingers, skin peeling and nails (not polish) chipping off. It was a classic, no gel :(

Even though Marlowe aesthetics is cute, it unfortunately has a couple of misses. I had made an appointment for a Big Sur appointment and allied to see if I was able to come in a little earlier, they said that was fine and they could accommodate. I believe it was just me and someone else that was there.
The chairs looked worn down and keep in mind that the distance from the bowl to the chair is a bit cramped. I had no assistance sitting into the chair when the bowl was already placed down, but I was able to manage. I personally felt like my pedicure was really rushed and was done within 40 min, mind you I had asked for the Big Sur Gel Pedicure, which is suppose to be about an hour long. I also like there was no communication from the technician on her end to make sure that I liked the shape of my nail or even if the pressure of the massage was ok. It really threw me off when she started to do my gel color before the massage, which I’m just assuming is preference from the technician.
After the 6 min massage was done, she tapped the top of my foot to lift them from the water bowl, she lifted the bowl and left. I saw her head to the back to clean her items and then just saw her walk to the bathroom and that’s when I realized the pedicure was over and she wasn’t coming back to help me out. It was at that point when I looked up what the Big Sur pedicure came with and noticed I was not given the correct service, even though I had booked the Big Sur Gel Pedicure and I even made mentioned of it when I checked in. Per past reviews, this seems to be an “occurring issue.”
I did communicate the misses to the front desk and she was able to accommodate the price and she added a discount, since she stated she was the one that told the technician the wrong service (I verified once I arrived there with her, what I had booked). She offered me the punch card, but after reading negative reviews and seeing all the issues the Gel girlies are having, I opted not to get the punch card. I’m sorry but Marlowe Berkeley location is a BIG miss!! And that’s even with an appointment made ahead of time.

Got a basic pedicure from Elle to see how I liked the place. She was very sweet and did a very clean pedicure, plus a nice calf/foot massage. It seemed like all the techs I saw were very responsive to their guests’ requests. I like that the equipment they use makes it easier to truly sterilize everything between guests (basins vs. sinks, etc). I will be coming back for a gel mani soon!

Made me pay first. My guest had a rude employee work on their feet and finished 20min before mine did. We paid for extra foot rub and didn’t even get the standard amount. Marlowe gave them a free service but the experience was so bad they won’t use the $75 credit. I will never go back. I used to go since it first opened alone but when I went this time with my non binary partner, this is how we were treated. Terrible.

This nail place is my go to place! The nail shape and attention to details is the most beautiful part of the manicure and pedicures at Marlowe! Every single time I've had a manicure and pedicure from Marlowe people stare at my nails and ask me where I go, they're always shocked when they see the prices, but like I say! You get what you pay for! This is the best place for and manicure and pedicure. Color choices and brands are amazing the employees are all professional and amazing, atmosphere is amazing! It's all just amazing! Love this place

Come here in recommendation of a friend. I expected a great experience considering just regular pedi cost $72 there after tip...but sooo underwhelmed My pedi chipped within 2 days! No, I didn't do anything unusual from my regular routine. My normal manipedi place never chips, so this was a shocker for me. I don't like to leave less than 5 star reviews, but this was a motivator. I feel really really disappointed. THEY DONT USE TUB LINERS FOR PEDICURES. This super grossed me out, but too late to back out. You just gotta trust they washed it out well in back (NEVER will return cuz of this....). If I knew this, I would never have come here. Thinking about this still gives me the ick. No tea/drinks etc offered as mentioned in other reviews. The chairs are gross. So worn and stained. Once upon a time this might have been a cute setup, but this place is long due for an overhaul. Came with my best friend and our technicians were nice enough, but honestly neither of us liked them nail shape we got. Would not recommend, sadly.

The best nail salon! Completely worth the price. Everything about the experience here is so high quality. The manicure and pedicure last forever, the staff is friendly, and the ambiance is clean and relaxing. I appreciate having a more non-toxic nail salon option.
