Mi Tierra Foods is a convenient local Hispanic grocery store with a quick casual Mexican take-out spot attached. It is a good neighborhood spot with radiant, friendly, and quick employees. The grocery store has a pretty big and wide selection of everything needed for Mexican and other Latin American cuisine, including a good selection of produce, a fresh butcher counter with perfect cuts of meat, and special homemade cheese. Shoppers can find South American goods from crisps, sweets, and drinks, with sections organized by flags for products from Colombia, Argentina, Peru, and more common Central American and Mexican items. The shop is cleaned and well kept. The take-out restaurant offers solid, delicious, and cheap food like tacos, breakfast burritos, and quesadillas. Prices are comparable for the area and are generally great, offering good value. The location is very convenient with easy access by several AC Transit bus lines and the nearest BART station is Downtown Berkeley.
The fish tacos were amazing and the vibe was warm and friendly. Stoked to add this to my favorite lunch spots!

Good place to buy food. A little expensive, but good. Cheap is expensive ;)I recommend this store.

I will drive extra miles to shop at Mi Tierra. They have special homemade cheese that is fresh and so delicious I use it on just about everything: even as a snack. Their butcher counter is fresh and has perfect cuts of meat. My special purchase is a bag of jumbo cooked shrimp.
