I came to this store I believe back in 2019, and the memory still remains clear as day.
I was with my cousin and a friend, at the time skateboarding down the street and stumbled upon this store. Being that I was just beginning my career in Film, the store name intrigued me. We, probably looking like a bunch of burnouts, walked in to a store far higher quality than what we were prepared for. Simply put, we felt almost out of place.
Now instead of getting asked to leave, we got graciously welcomed by if I remember correctly a gentleman named Graham? (If you remember this please remind me your name!), who could’ve given us a simple look and realized we wouldn’t have been able to purchase anything; took the time to give us a full tour, rundown, and description of the systems and products they specialize in. I’m telling you, it was the best pitch I’ve ever received in my life. He played us music in a listening room and for the first time, I experienced what it meant to hear music correctly. Before that, I always thought the more volume, the better, and I’d never truly understood EQ like that.
Beyond the incredible quality of products, what really stuck with me over the years was the quality of care and passion expressed by this gentleman. It was obvious he cared about sharing his passion and knowledge to us, not because he expected us to be customers, but because he could.
I know this review is about 6 years late. But it’s been a story my friend and cousin and I have continued to reminisce about over the years, and though I don’t see them as often as I used to, I am so beyond grateful that we got to experience this together.
So to you sir,
and team here at Music Lovers Audio & Video, thank you so much for taking the time to welcome us in with open arms and not pointing us the other direction. You truly gave us a memory that felt like an extremely special moment engrained in our shared connection.

Visited this store wanting to explore and learn more about high end audio systems and left feeling amazed by the knowledge and kindness from the staff. They showed me around the demo rooms and browsed through some of the equipment. Such an amazing experience. They also had some friendly dogs which was a plus.

I had the best experience today looking for and finding a pair of JBL speakers for our home audio system. They sound and are absolutely beautiful as was the service and overall experience today.

This is great music store. I was able to set up an appointment and sitting in their demo room for more than an hour listening to the amati g5. It was a wonderful experience, the people were very nice and treated me a sparkling water for free while me and my friend were listening to the music. It was quite enjoyable morning, we really appreciate their great service. I specially like to thank Chris for his great hospitality.

Marvelous supplier of high-end stereo. I dealt with Jacob, a knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful sales person there. Lots of great equipment and listening rooms. They have good parking. And they have a couple of friendly dogs who like attention.

Beautifully laid out store with a very welcoming staff. Hugh helped me get a family-heirloom turntable up and running again. This thing was in bad shape but thanks to Hugh's knowledge, his recommendations for some fine-tuning, and a new cartridge he helped me pick out, it now sounds incredible.
The whole staff just so obviously loved music and hifi-equipment. I had a great time and I'm looking forward to returning soon to get some more equipment.

Music Lovers felt less like a store for high end audio and more like a friend that’s had music devotion in the family for generations. The store front is easy to miss, on a small side street in Berkeley. I was surprised by how welcoming the staff was, answering my questions about how to improve my home theater system which isn’t even in the same league as the $500K+ custom installs they provide. Nate’s passion and expertise was inspiring. We intended to stop by for a few minutes and ended up staying for an hour. It was like a masterclass in music! I can’t imagine going anywhere else for my audio needs. Another bonus - my girlfriend said the women’s bathroom was really nice.

Went to this store for the first time as a beginner audiophile to test some headphones and it was an amazing experience. Their selection of headphones is really good and most importantly the customer service is spot on! Chris helped me out test some earphones and was so kind. It was a joy talking to him about audio and getting some suggestions based on my current sound preference. My next upgrade will definitely come from here! Thank you again!! :)

I arrived with an amateur query about and together with my turntable. After barely a minute, I was attended to, the machine connected and the problem solved some 8-10 minutes later. Attentive, knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. If I only needed a new system then I know now where I will end up. This is the first review of a business I ever wrote. Thanks guys.

Chris and Andrew were great to work with in helping me get setup with a pair of bookshelves! Really nice guys who know their stuff! Very friendly and helpful. They really took the time to help educate me and made space for me to experience the sound I was seeking.Incredibly happy with my purchase!

What an amazing customer experience!
Went to get a wireless music streamer and talked to Jay/Andrew. Both are very knowledgeable and suggested the best streamer (BlueSound). I went home and ran into some technical issues. I called the store and 30 min later Andrew showed up at my place and helped me complete the setup. Really couldn’t hope for a best customer service. Thank you!
