I did not find it worth the price for the following reasons:- For a group coaching gym, places like F45 or Sweat and Health + Fitness are more organized in timing the workouts and coaches provide more guidance and constantly check your posture.- I do not like that all classes have 1/2 time in the treadmill. After one month it feels repetitive.- Amenities are much better at other gyms with similar price. For example, better shampoo brands at other gyms, free towel service, cleaner shower rooms.- Limited schedule, if you go to other luxury gyms that cost the same you can get group coaching classes and free access to the gym if the class schedule does not work for you.- They market “trial month” as one month basis but they sneakily tie you into two months.- One pro: staff are nice.Overall not worth the hype. I would rather do Equinox, Sweat and Health + Fitness, or F45z

I love Orangetheory Fitness so much that I was beyond sad I couldn't go especially after moving up from SoCal to NoCal during the pandemic. Imagine my thrill to find out that my new house was just a few blocks away from the Shattuck Orangetheory Fitness. The staff are awesome, especially the manager, Van, who goes above and beyond for the members and crew. I love the coaches, especially Noah, as well as the front desk crew. Everyone takes time to learn our names and say hello and goodbye as we come and go. The location is great and the workouts are always amazing in true OTF fashion. So glad to be a regular here and thankful I found my OTF family.

I’ve been going to OTF Berkeley for 3 months now, and I’ve been really enjoying it so far. I always feel so energized and accomplished after a workout. I love that the environment is really welcoming to people of all levels. Huge shoutout to my favorite coach Jenna - she’s always so encouraging and really good at correcting my form!

What a fabulous day with OTF. We were celebrating two very special birthdays and 60 years of friendship. Dawn was wonderful in the pre-trip planning listening to our wish list and then ensuring we would have an experience never to be forgotten. She did not disappoint! We L.O.V.E.D. our day with Nancy (our private guide). Nancy was prompt at pick up and welcome companion, smiling with us throughout the day. She guided us with expert knowledge and stealth navigation, allowing us to seamlessly flow through the day as we explored both the American and Canadian sides of the Falls! It was such joy as we saw the Falls from every angle! Nancy and Dawn truly provided us an experience of a life time and one we won't forget. THANK YOU!

My home studio and I LOVE it. All the coaches are so fun and high-energy and the front desk staff on point. The classes never get full either so super flexible.

Love OTF Berkeley. The coaches and staff are friendly and helpful. The other members are open and there's a community feel to the studio. The workouts are fun and can be made as easy or as challenging as you choose. I'm obsessed with it and bring all my friends!!

Solid workout classes with great vibes and energy from the staff and coaches, and great workout variety too. I tend to buy class packs during festive seasons when they're at a discount and that's worked really well for me. The tracker that you can buy to track your workouts is good for class but hasn't been good at tracking my hikes outside of class.

I am writing this review with no ill feelings towards the staff. I truly believe they did their best to accommodate me. To preface, I have a visual disability. . I came in looking for a workout that would challenge me and act as a supplement to my other athletic activities. However, when I walked in, I felt like the staff was overwhelmed with having my friend and I there. I understand that there was going to be a lot of moving around but it was nothing that we have never done before. The workout itself was pretty good and staff were helpful moving from one station to the other. After class, we were encouraged to try a less strenuous class..,I'm not sure of their motivation behind this suggestion but it was definitely off- putting and disappointing to hear not once, but three times. Did they feel so overwhelmed with having blind people there in their class? Did they assume I couldn't do the workouts? Last but not least, I inquired about bringing my guide dog to class the next time and I was told by the manager that I would have to keep him outside or behind the desk. I don't think she understood that my dog is my service animal and my dog can accompany me ANYWHERE the public is allowed. Again, workout was great but I do think the staff absolutely did their best and it was much appreciated. I think there needs to be more education on their end to provide a more inclusive environment.

PSA: If you're looking for guided hit workouts that push you while also allowing you to work at your own pace, then Orangetheory is the place to go! I've tried multiple locations all over the bay and OTF Berkeley still leads as my favorite studio!Location Orangetheory exists all over the country making it very accessible! This specific location is located on Shattuck Avenue, which is quite a busy street. However, there is lots of parking right outside of the building. So if you arrive a few minutes early, I'm sure you'll find parking!SpaceThe studio is very clean overall. The lobby and bathrooms are spacious and the actual studio area is well ventilated and set up. It's not the largest studio, but the strategic setup makes it feel much larger than it is. Staff/CoachOne of the reasons this specific location is my favorite is because of how friendly the staff is. Right from the first moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with the most positive energy. The front desk staff is so upbeat and kind, and the coaches have great attitudes and want you to succeed. The overall ambience is very motivating! WorkoutOTF workouts are one hour, full body workouts, focused on training power, strength, and endurance. The main equipment used are treadmills, water rowers, dumbbells, and benches. The class structure is different everyday, so you never know what the workouts going to be (which I like). I also appreciate how the workouts are designed for all levels of fitness. You can make the class as easy or difficult as you want (you'll see all ages in the studio)! I've been a high performance athlete all of my life, and I still find these classes challenging! OTF is great for holding yourself accountable and getting a quick, yet effective workout in!Overall, I was very impressed from the beginning. The first class I ever took was difficult, but I enjoyed it so much that I immediately bought a membership and now I'm hooked! OTF is great for those who don't have a lot of time during the day, feel lost at the gym, or just don't know where start. Since becoming a member, I have brought so many friends with me to try a class and they've all enjoyed it! If you're nervous to try it out, ask a friend to come with you! Your first class is free and maybe you'll both end up loving it! OTF Berkeley is nothing but positive and friendly!
