This Pete's is a diamond in the rough. It is located on Vine street in Berkeley. It allows you to find a park easily, and they're open.5:30am most days of the week. It is quite unusual to find someone at that hour to be cheerful, and to ensure your order is correct.. This is what you can expect when you go there. Service with a smile. Please keep this location in business. It is a delightful spot, which needs to be recognized. Please support and enjoy. Thanks!

What's the buzz about? The atmosphere is fantastic, albeit seating is limited. However, the service leaves me uncertain. When placing my order, the employee at the register struggled to hear me, responding with a blunt "What?" Perhaps a more suitable reply could have been, "I'm sorry, what was that again?" After receiving my pasty, the lack of a receipt prompted me to ask another employee for it. Additionally, the self-service area with coffee stirrers was noticeably unclean. Improvement is definitely within reach, don't you think?

This is the original store which houses a 40' long Peet's/Coffee Museum!!! In the final outcome, since I believe that Peet's (the original of this genre) and SB both train their employees on great customer service, the main difference is that Peet's does not scoop out the foamy head like SB does, and probably uses a slightly better array of ingredients.Baked goods at Peet's, however, are vastly superior... Then walk over and get a falafel sandwich (with extra napkins) at Mediterranean Grill, or Saul's, both with their own succulent takes on this savory classic...and a short walk away...

AFTER 50 YEARS OF BEING A LOYAL CUSTOMER THE REVIEWER CAN NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS FOR COFFEE OR TEA.I love the baristas there, but went in to get a strong chai masala tea like I have been doing for nearly 50 years, only to discover that now they charge per the tea bag, and to get an extra strong chai the way I've been ordering it most of my life, was not going to cost me nearly $8. The conglomerate who bought this has officially destroyed Peet's legendary customer focus.They won't see me here again, but that has nothing to do with the baristas who I love.Thumbs up for the manager, kids, and local workers who are the baristas here.Thumbs down for the corporate structure and how they're treating these stores.JAB, THE GERMAN FAMILY CONGLOMERATE WHO BOUGHT THIS OUT HAS DESTROYED OUR HOMETOWN COFFEE SPOT

Going in the morning is lovely because the workers are wonderful. However, DO NOT GO IN THE AFTERNOON. The staff that works the afternoons is EXTREMELY incompetent. I watched a worker STICK HER FINGER INTO THE COFFEE to see if it was still warm... In addition, my order was forgotten about. When I asked 10 minutes later, the worker did not apologize. It also took me complaining VERY LOUDLY for the worker to give me one voucher for a coffee in the future...

I love Peet's I go there daily employees are great!! I get my coffee here daily. Such a nice atmosphere most are regulars love to sit and enjoy the company with a great cup of coffee so relaxing.

This is the place where Peets made a start. The first Peets in America. This is genesis to Starbucks . Excited to see and taste the original Peets Coffee in Berkeley. Great atmosphere and great history.

OMG, the first Peet's! Just randomly found this in the middle of the neighborhood. So much nicer than the first Starbucks in Pike Place. And of course everything was delicious
