Waste of money and time. They describe themselves as "most trusted cannabis testing and research laboratory." What a crock. Paid $90 for sexting 8 plants. First, when they sent me the kit, they sent a self addressed return envelope with their OLD address. Admittedly, in an email they tell you they have a new address and give it to you- but still how unprofessional to send an incorrect self addressed envelope. So after not seeing my kit as being received by them for more than a week (you register your kit online, it has number, and you can see when it was received and they then post your results too), I emailed. They suggested I send them leaves in ziplocks marked according to their coding system as sending my kit would add three days. So I did, priority mail. Now it is just shy of three weeks and the website says not yet received and they won't return my emails. Stay far away form this crappy outfit.

Steephill has never disappointed me. I've been using them for three years now and there's results are always timely and accurate. I've used other labs all over the state and frequently I'm disappointed either in how long it takes to get the results or that the results are inaccurate. Now I only use Steephill.

Being a small business owner, COMMUNICATION is key. I called Steep Hill Lab in Berkley California today to check on my results for my soothing salve I dropped off last Friday, for a potency test. When I called they informed me that my results will not be available until Tuesday because they were retesting my salve. Steep Hill should've reached out to me yesterday and explained to me what was going on instead of me having to call for the information. I am now delayed an extra 5 days on filling an order to a distributor. After this experience I will DEFINITELY be doing more research into who is doing my testing and asking more about how & when they will be communicating delays and procedures involving product testing and/or retesting and turn around times. Hope this helps anyone avoid future frustrations with this company.

Terrible! They doubled the price and the pesticide test was the most half a** nonsense. They didn't even test for two of the most common and harmful pesticides regularly found in concentrates. Be better! Test for the things you know are being sprayed like Myclobutanil and Abamectin.

This company gives you very inaccurate lab tests.. my flower tested between 15-19% thc when pharmlabs and sc labs give e 23%... this sucks i just lost 200 dollars on testing with this company

Horrible first time experience. Ordered genkits on a monday, got them friday. Shipped from CA to NV. put them in the mail on Friday. It is now 7 days since the samples should have been recieved and i have some results completed.

Steep Hill delivers the perfect combination of experience, service, and scientific accessibility: their experts continue to impress us with a wide knowledge of chemistry, medical science, and genetics research; their Berkeley lab couldn't be more conveniently located (hop off Ashby exit on 880, be there in 4 minutes); and, while their prices don't match fit in the bottom part of the spectrum, their value as a "scientific partner" far exceeds anything we've received from other labs who simply provide numbers.

I had a very bad experience with this company. I am a new business that was inquiring about lab testing. I went through their required process to get nowhere slow. Steep Hill Lab is not at all familiar with their own product. I asked the sweet sounding lady on the phone. She was unable to answer my questions but said Mattias would be able to. He is a the director of sales. First he sent an email saying he attempted to call. Never got that. Then when I talked to him over the phone he was unable to answer my questions. I felt as if he was talking down to me. I was told you can read our form we sent out. Which was the incorrect outdated form that was sent to me. The phone conversation was more frustrating then helpful. Before I got him on the phone I was told to just drop off or send samples. But I was not clear on what type of testing is required for what I needed. While speaking to Mattias he never answered my questions. He seemed annoyed, talked over me as I was asking questions, and rushed me off of the phone. I do not recommend working with this company if possible. Being unclear with the new law and overwhelmed with calls does not warrant poor customer service and rudeness.

I am very pleased with these guys. We have checked their results against themselves and against other labs. Their results are more accurate than most. They are always professional and do what they say they will do. I have no complaints.

So I want to start out by saying the people at steep hill are extremely nice. They are always helpful and courteous. However, when we first started testing with them we could reliably get results back in 3 days. Now we are being told instead of the usual 5 business days, its actually going to be more like 7 business days for a single test. So when you take those seven business days, plus the 4 weekend days we have to wait, ware are looking at an 11 day turn around if we are lucky... One of our last tests from them took way over two weeks...
