Friendly and knowledgeable staff, but it could be better if staffs can work more efficiently. I was waiting inline for 20 minutes and I see staffs at register walking around and chatting, why can’t staff responsible for check out only help with check out?

I want to give a shout out to Elsie at the Berkeley Sur La Table store. She greeted me cordially at the front door and when I asked her for a rather obscure particular item, she walked the extra mile, with dedication and perseverance and found it! What a kind, diligent, dedicated, lovely employee of Sur La Table! Thank you, Elsie!

My daughter and I had a fantastic experience!
The customer service and expertise was top notch with several employees helping us shop for my daughter’s new apartment, and they even offered us coffee, which was a nice bonus!

My recent visit to the 4th Street store in Berkeley, CA was an absolute pleasure, thanks to the fantastic team there. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by several kind and helpful staff members. I was in search of flatware, and Kym was an absolute standout. She patiently walked me through various options, offering detailed comparisons on quality, pricing, and the different promotional offers available. Kym’s expertise didn’t stop there; she also made excellent recommendations on kitchen towels, letting me know about the current weekly promotions. The excellent service continued right up to the end—the store manager even offered me an ice cream tasting before I checked out! This level of genuine care and attention to detail made my shopping experience truly enjoyable.

Just walked out after making a purchase. We were not greeted when we arrived, staff did not approach us to offer assistance. I finally went to the register for help. Not one of the at least 4 other sales staff ever acknowledged our presence and they were not busy. We felt invisible. My husband is in his 80s and I am not far behind in age and walk with a cane. Very disappointed in this experience. We had planned to buy a full set of le Crueset for our daughter but decided to buy elsewhere.
