I brought 14 karats a beautiful silver ring with lapis lazuli inlay. They charged what I thought was a very high fee to resize it, but it was worth it because this was a very special ring that I had purchased in Mexico. I was informed that it would be ready within one week. When I tried to check on it, I got a somewhat rude rebuff from the jeweler. I was less than pleased with the customer service but I waited for an additional 2 weeks before I got a quizzical message that there had been some 'problem' with resizing the ring. The 'problem' was that they had cracked the stone in 2 places. Now my beautiful ring has 2 hairline cracks in the stone. So basically I paid a lot of money to get my ring cracked. I don't even think they fixed anything. Please don't let this man resize your ring unless you would like to share my experience.

Words cannot begin to describe how amazing this place was! I came in on Dec 23rd in a complete panic after another local jewelry shop had dropped the ball and not done anything with redesigning and assembling a piece of jewelry for my mother after having it for almost a month. I brought the ring in and asked if there was anything they could do to make a birthstone ring or necklace out of the damaged ring. They took it back and showed me a beautiful design and finished and set the stones into a necklace in LESS THAN 24 HOURS!! I cried in the car after getting it. It looks gorgeous and the response time given the holidays was astounding. I would recommend this store to anyone a thousand times over!

Love working with John, he’s made fantastic pieces for my family over the years. Very grateful for him, his family and his staff who run this spot. He’s made rings for my mom year back and now for my engagement and wedding. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for custom jewelry.

Don’t go here, these people are rude. 3 out of 3 times they were rude to me. Maybe it’s because I’m brown , idk. I live in the neighborhood but in the future I will totally avoid. But go to Bills Trading Post, it’s always a great and pleasant experience there!

I would give 10 stars if I could. My wedding ring was made here in 2010, and I have had 2 other custom rings, as well as repairs of antique family pieces done. All top-notch. Most highly recommended.

John is a wonderful person and a great jeweler. He has always been able to quickly understand what I want made and has great ideas about how to create something even better than I had imagined. He is also very fair about pricing.
