I've been coming here since my college days. This is one of the best stationery shops at Berkeley. Highly recommend their assortment of journals.

This is a terrific store for lovers of stationery, especially papers. The staff is very helpful and courteous. This must be due to the store manager, Nadia, who is unfailingly helpful and enthusiastic about what she provides to her customers. Nadia is especially good on pens. This shop is definitely worth a detour.

Thursday, 12/28/2023 I went to the store with my granddaughter (12) to exchange a pair of slippers that were too small that I had purchased for her for Christmas. I had ordered the slippers over the phone and had excellent help deciding which one to get for a 12 year old. The woman who helped me when I went to the store to pick the slippers up was great. When she rang me up she told me they were on sale. I asked her if my granddaughter could exchange them if they didn’t fit or she wanted another design and she told me yes, she could. NEVER in any part of the ordering, pick up or purchasing the slippers was I told that “sales” items were final, no refunds or exchanges. My daughter, granddaughter and I went to the store the Thursday after Christmas so she could exchange the slippers for a bigger size. The young man who offered us assistance checked on the receipt and I was told that it was a sale item and therefore the sale was final, no exchange or refund. I was shocked and said I was unaware of this and willing to pay whatever the additional cost might be. The clerk showed little understanding and simply kept repeating the store policy even though I had not been made aware of that when I made the purchase. My granddaughter was very disappointed as I was. The woman who was at the store the day I made the purchase (12/14) was not in the store that day. She had exceptional customer service skills and I feel if she had been there we would have had a better experience. We will not be shopping there again.

The merchandise and service in this travel/stationery boutique is first cabin. Nadia, the manager, is especially helpful and kind. She has an infectious enthusiasm for pens and paper. This store is definitely worth a detour.

bought several pairs of slippers, not knowing that one pair had a different heel elastic...or lack thereof...they came off all the time...tried to return them after one day and they wouldn't even exchange them. Zero stars.

My friend bought me a gift here, a pair of slippers, and it had a gift receipt that clearly said return or exchange within 30 days. She made a big deal about the fact that I could return it or exchange it if they didn't fit. Today I went over to Berkeley to see about exchanging them but when the shop person looked at the slippers and the receipt she said they were final sale and couldn't be exchanged or returned. So then why did they give my friend a gift receipt that says exchange or return within 30 days? It seems like their error, but she was unmovable. Told me maybe I could find someone else that would like the slippers. Thanks?! Really bad customer service.

Today, I stopped by this store and saw a beautiful backpack. One star was the sales associate ( wearing glasse who asked me 'if I wanted to upgrade my nylon backpack' Just an FYI my backpack is NOT nylon. My backpack is new and costs more than your Kolo. I will not return.

I like the products in this store a lot. However, I asked someone a question today about their fountain pen collection, and they definitely made up an answer instead of admitting that they didn't know. I want the staff to be knowledgeable, of course, but moreover I want them to be honest. It's ok to not know; it's not ok to lie to me. It's not ok anyway, but it's definitely worse if you sell me something incompatible with my things as a result of that lie. Buyer beware, I guess?

I bought a travel watercolor brush here for $40+ dollars that I later realized I could buy from any number of online and brick n mortar retailers for $15-20. I feel literally robbed. It’s a gimmick

First off wow! The store was highly organized and I felt very welcomed by what seemed to be the only person at the store...I believe their name was Ari. They were able to assist me in my mid day shopping spree for a few gifts that I had put off until last minute. The kinto water bottles caught my eye and were the perfect gift for my husband as per their suggestion. The romeo pen sets along with the notebook have not left my bag since I purchased-theyre great! All in all, had a great time here and Ari was lovely.
