I shopped here all the time as a student since my apartment was nearby.
It gets very busy with students at the beginning of semesters and in the afternoon, but usually it’s navigable.
The frozen dumplings and frozen shu mai were life savers for me.
Lots of healthy prepared meals when I was in a pinch, as well as quality ingredients and fun specialty seasonal foods.
Their honey crisp apple scented candles are amazing, and I bought several so I wouldn’t run out.
The produce was always well priced, and I always got bananas and bell peppers here. When prices were going up in so many stores it felt like I could still rely on this shop.

One of the most spacious TJs I've been too. Wide aisles, well stocked, friendly associates, and not busy at 9am on a Saturday. I only needed a few items and was hoping to get in and out quickly. While I didn't see a parking lot, I did luck out with street parking right out front on University (one of 2 street parking spaces).

This is a Trader Joe's for the downtown and student population of Berkeley. It's also conveniently located for pedestrians - at the intersection of MLK and University. It's well laid out for the size, but has a weird checkout area (with two lines) that can get backed up.
This Trader Joe's contains all of the classic products and prices you might expect from the chain, as well as frequent sample offerings and ample parking.

Great place to do Grocery, friendly nice staff different variety of procuts with good price. I do have back pain for years I do my grocery at Berkeley branch all times and El-Cerrito brunch sometimes, Staff help me when ever I had a question or need assistance with pick some of the items.

I've been going here for more than 5 years. It is unique because it serves the local long time populace, and the college students! The location is perfect. This trader joes handled the pandemic by making the store more accessible and improved on the idea. Sometimes the student workers act snooty, but just ignore their youth.

Tucked in the bottom floor of a building in a dense part of Berkeley, this TJ 's works to be space efficient. There's an inside free parking garage round back that sometimes gets backed up, and you make two lines to check out and get directed to the next available cashier.
It's as neat, clean, and friendly as all TJs, and has everything I was looking for, albeit in different places.
