This was the worst post office experience I’ve ever had. We waited over 40 minutes while staff processed a single passport request, with no other windows open. The lobby filled with more than 20 people, and when we respectfully voiced our concerns, we were met with passive-aggressive and dismissive attitudes.
It’s disappointing to see such poor service in Berkeley. The postmaster should review this immediately—if certain staff aren’t willing to do their jobs, changes need to be made. The community deserves better.

There was a long line, and only one Asian lady appeared to be assisting customers. (Wed June 4) She was helping one person with passport paperwork for about 40 minutes, during which three people left visibly frustrated. When I respectfully addressed two other staff members who were walking back and forth and appeared to be ignoring the line, one of them - a Black woman, probably in her 50s with dreadlocks - responded in an unexpectedly defensive and sarcastic manner. Her interaction came across as unprofessional.
Hopefully, the service and engagement levels will improve at this location 🤞

Sadly, all the awful reviews about passport services are true. I scheduled an appointment for a passport a couple of weeks in advance. I checked it online the night before my appointment and all looked good. Then, I checked it again just as I was about to leave my house and found that my appointment was cancelled without notifying me. So glad I didn't waste my time heading down there. What a joke this place is. Elections have consequences.

Website says they take passport applications til 5 on Tues-Thurs. They absolutely do not, and employees are not very considerate or helpful about the discrepancy.

Waited in a long line, one clerk, only for the the clerk to lie and say they didn't offer passport photo services--despite me having an appointment I booked on their website. Rude and I guess what you expect from USPS service.

Saturday hours posted are 9am-3pm. Myself and about 20 other patrons were waiting outside till at least 10am with no one showing up. A waste of our time.

Zero stars actually. My family along with 10 families are here waiting for the post office to open. It is 9:30 am and the building is still locked. Despite online and door postings. They are still closed!

Pleasant staff but there is NO walk in passport service on weekends despite direct online site that states it.
