If you are seriously into bikes, these are your people. Every aspect of your build made fantastic by trained experts. Customer service is off the charts. It's basically bike Nirvana.

I had a pretty rough experience buying from them. I was strung along for several months with continued promises of delivery, but the story changed every time. It was clear I was being lied to. They did eventually deliver my bike when I threatened to dispute. Now it looks like they aren’t even delivering orders.

My experience of ordering a custom bike from these guys was a nightmare from the very beginning. I asked for three customizations- carbon fork, custom paint, and my name painted on the frame. Charlie told me none of that was possible. He was wrong. We learned he was wrong at various points after the frame was already in production which led to major delays. Charlie also added a set of wheels to my build that cost $1000 more than the ones I’d authorized. When I pointed out his mistake he argued with me about it, and in a really pathetic attempt to prove he was right he sent me a screenshot of our email exchange (presumably without reading it first) showing that I had in fact approved a different set of wheels than the ones he was insisting on.
At that point the manager, Fernando, stepped in and took over the transaction. He did his best to turn it around. He blamed Charlie’s mistakes on their reliance on the website’s bike builder tool, despite their own TOC explicitly saying the bike builder tool should not be relied upon and to speak to one of their sales people instead.
Despite Fernando’s best efforts, the 10-week lead time turned into 8 months. I had to go around the shop and talk directly to the distributor to get updates and accurate timelines. While Fernando really did everything he could to turn it around, there were an unreasonable amount of failures on their part in product knowledge, communication, and production. In the end they got it mostly right, but only because I fought every step of the way to get what I wanted and what I’d asked for in the first place.
I would never recommend this shop. Charlie was unprofessional and would be better suited to work somewhere that’s more appropriate for his level of product knowledge and customer service skills, like Walmart or maybe a weed dispensary.
Fernando deserves credit for stepping in and helping as much as was possible, but the overall experience was not salvageable. The company should be embarrassed.

Wrench Science’s customer service representative Cody was super organized and easy to deal with throughout the customization process! The bike manufacturer was discontinuing that particular model in the US and Cody went above and beyond to secure one of the last frames available to complete the custom bike build project!
Even though the final price was a little more than I was hoping to pay, he worked with me to keep the final costs down!
Excellent company to deal with, I would highly recommend!!

I highly recommend Wrench Science if you are looking for a high quality, custom built bicycle. I was looking for a new road bike and did not like any of the stock bikes I was looking at in local bike shops. I found Wrench Science online and was very impressed with their website and products they offered. The selection is almost overwhelming so I decided to give them a call. They actually answered their phone( which is so rare these days) and I spoke with Fernando. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and helped me decide on a frame and the components. It was very easy and seamless process from ordering, payment and delivery. The bike arrive in about 2 weeks and was expertly packaged with great attention to detail. After riding my new bike now for a couple of weeks, I can say I absolutely love it! It is the perfect bike for me and without the help of Wrench Science and Fernando I would never have selected this bike. I'm so glad that I trusted their expertise.

I bought a bicycle from Wrench Science online during one of their 15% off sales. I was very surprised how good their communication was, how flexible they were with accommodating change requests for items which were not listed on their website and shipment speed. The bike arrived 3 weeks ahead of the originally quoted schedule and very well packaged. I was hesitant at first because after all it’s a lot of money through an online vendor that you have no relationship with. Honestly they were more responsive and customer oriented than my local bike shop, and their pricing was very good. I worked with Fernando and have nothing but good things to say.

I have bought two bikes from Wrench Science. It's great. My point man there, Fernando, is always in contact with me, answers all of my questions thoroughly and promptly, and he has great experience in all aspects of the buying and build process, especially with high-end bikes and bike components. I appreciate his advice and suggestions, and with Wrench Science there is no retail markup, so the cost is much less. This is the only place I will buy a bike from.

I was looking for a set of 11-speed rim brake alloy wheels for my backup bike as I was upgrading it from 10-speed. I ride a lot so was not looking for anything used. As this style of wheel seems increasingly difficult to find, I spent a lot of time searching and came across Wrench Science. They have a great selection of product and are extremely responsive from the online chat to email follow-up. Wrench Science was one of only two places I was able to find what I was looking for – the Fulcrum Racing Zero wheelset. They had a more thorough description of the wheels than the other site, and most other sites in general, which made me feel comfortable purchasing from them. The promised wait was four weeks and I got them in less than three.
I have been running the Fulcrum Racing Zeros on my primary bike (Bianchi Infinito CV) the last two months while I worked on updating my older Specialized Roubaix, and they are fantastic! This is my third set of Fulcrum wheels - my primary wheels for the Bianchi are Fulcrum Speed 40c carbon fiber clinchers I have had for six years (original wheels were Fuclrum Racing 5). I have enjoyed the Speed 40c so much I almost purchased a second set. I decided a good set of alloys would be better for when I travel and ride in more mountainous areas. If something ever happens to the Speed 40s I will probably replace them with a set of Racing Zeros. I wrap them in Vittoria Corsa Control 2.0 28mm tires with tubes (my go to for tires) and it is an awesome combination.
I will definitely return to Wrench Science in the future.

If you've been on their site you know Wrench Science has some fine brands of bikes and components. I would pop on the site over the years and check out what they have to offer. Their builder is set up so you can customize to the individual component, with the pricing, and the weight updated accordingly. This is fun, and gives you a chance to see what you might put together within budget.
I was pleased to find they are also great to their customers. Their reps will reach out to support you and are responsive on the chat. I know I am particular on the spec of my bikes and they were supportive of this. Indeed they supported my desire to wait for a big new product release so I would have the latest. They also worked with me to change frame selection after some issues with the brand. In addition to selection, they accommodate my build requests, such as how I tape and tilt my bars. They also saved all of the packaging parts and setup tools for me, which I do put those to use so meant a lot to me.
I ordered my build when they were having a sale. I had asked when ordering and indeed they held that discount for me with changes and the new product release as we waited for delivery. That is really extending themselves to keep a customer happy.
My overall message in this review is that the staff was great. They worked with me to get the build I desired. There were a few glitches and dilemma, but they ultimately wanted to have me happy with the build and worked to resolve these fairly. I worked with a few staff and had good experiences, but can certainly recommend Fernando.

I recently worked with Taylor on a dream build I have always wanted to do. We went through the whole build, piece by piece and I couldn’t be happier with the build and delivery. They have great customer service and their work is top notch. I would not hesitate in the slightest if you are thinking of working with them.

I would advise anyone considering a remote/Internet purchase to proceed w/ extreme caution. I have sourced two high-end custom spec gravel cycles via WS, and a very/very messy process with low-level communications, ordering complications, 'pro builds' w/ major QC issues generating two full-stop bike lockups while at speed and new frame damage on first ride. Other cycle was sent w/ incorrect seatmast shim and it took two months before I could finally get to ride w/o seatpost slippage. And that cycle is permanently scarred via front mech chain drop that ocurred on first outing. The attraction of WS is the configurator as well near-continuous 15% discounting, as well as more exotic product offerings. BIG BUT. If you do proceed, know that 100s of hours of personal time will be invested and you will likely incur substantial costs w/ your LBS to remediate WS generated problems. Responses from WS have been utterly tone-deaf, unsympathetic, and substandard by any metric of customer care. My recent bike locked up twice w/ resulting frame damage. A massive disappointment all around and proceed w/ caution as once the cycle is paid for and shipped, you will get very little traction or appropriate response on even major issues. Be prepared for additional time consumption, inconvenience, and dollars spent locally on remediation.

Their service team is awesome. I broke a stem bolt the day before a race in San Diego and I couldn't get a local bike shop there to give me the time of day. Broke the stem bolt again last week and Wrench Science scheduled me right away and fixed it for free!

I have now purchased 2 beautiful Pinarellos from Wrench Science. First was a Grevil, most recent a Dogma F. Both machines came packed beautifully, and the service from Tim via phone and email both was fantastic. I couldn't ask for better service! I would recommend them for any high end biking needs.
