I had a really bad experience her twice now. Waiting 3 hours or more to see vet. Unfriendly staff and untrained young vets who come and go no permanent vet on staff that I can see.

Horrible customer service. They want your money but won’t give you the time of day. Told me to call other vets to be seen if I can’t wait two months for my appointment. I know what my dog needs which is a shot and it takes 15 minutes and 200$ which I don’t mind paying but Receptionist was super condescending basically told me to F off with a smile. Nice ??

Very bad care. Vet not knowledgeable about the drug he gave my dog which killed her with in 3 days. The dog was healthy until then except for bleeding gums. Tried to reach them after hours Friday, Sat., and Sun. but the phones were both off the hook and a message sent to them was never answered. Very bad Vet. and uncaring clinic. Their only real concern was getting their money. WE have received no apology or even a not to say sorry for your loss.

Love Dr O’Connor at Desert Dunes. Also Dr Ko at VCA on Jefferson.

I have been taking my cat to Desert Dunes Animal Hospital for years and I just think they are amazing! The staff is always friendly and patient and sympathetic to what you may be going through. I decided to write a review today because of Stephy (or Stephie). She really went above and beyond! I had expressed how much trouble I was having giving my cat her antibiotic and she actually took me into one of the rooms to show me how to do it! It was incredible! I left feeling confident that I would get it right at home and that would make my kitty more at ease too. Thank you so much to her for taking the time to do that. I really really appreciated it!

I have been a client of Desert Dunes Animal Hospital for over 10 years and my animals have always received nothing but the most exemplary care and attention. I just called for an appointment for one of my cats on a semi emergency basis, as he is exhibiting signs of stress and I am concerned. I was told that July would be the first regular available appointment time, or they could see him on June 16 and see if they could squeeze him in. I had always read that VCA Animal Hospitals were less then optimum, and now I am experiencing their level of care first hand. I am left trying to find a new vet to treat my animals.

This place is amazing and the staff is extremely caring! My dog had dental work almost 4 months ago and their work was great. My dog is 12 years old so I was concerned he would not be a good candidate for anesthesia, but they were reassuring and guided me through the whole process. I trust them to take care of my dog and I know they always do a great job. It is very evident that they truly care about animals and their well-being. I had a mini emergency today and they were able to fit me in even though I didn’t have an appointment. Everything ended up being okay with my dog and he went home with anti-inflammatory pills and pain meds. I really appreciate them for taking him in on such a short notice. The staff is amazing and they will take care of your pets extremely well! ?

I totally agree with another reviewer about feeling the difference since VCA took over. I really appreciated the way things were run before it became VCA which means not having to wait over a month for a simple routine vaccination. There is a another VCA very close to my house but I went out of my way for Desert Dunes because of their responsiveness and availability. You can tell it was run by people who cared about the pets and their human companions. I am afraid those days are over...too bad for us.

I had to bring my kitten here at around 1:00am. He was pretty much unresponsive. The doctor tried everything he could but it wasn't looking good. He was honest and sympathetic. Hopefully I never have to go back, but I trust them if I do ever have to go back

Called about the cost of obtaining 7 dog Health Certifications for my international travel. They would Not give me exact pricing for the H.C. unless I go in and pay 80.00 per dog then they give me a price between 80 - 300.00 per dog on top of the original 80.00.They offer a service but will not give you pricing for that service unless I gave them 560.00.Ridiculous.

The Desert Dunes staff are amazing. Thank you very much for the love, care and thoughtfulness for our pet and us as Maggie crossed over the rainbow bridge this morning. I definitely recommend this animal hospital for taking care of your pets.
